hmm, yes, bread was the thing I forgot on my list of foods I couldn't stop eating Grin

I don't eat it now - if I do, I have a pavlovian response and start gorging, so know it's one of my "trigger" foods.

Enid · 16/03/2006 15:00

I lost a stone and a half after having dd1

I am normally about 10 10 and was 12 stone

my downfall atm is malt loaf with loads of butter Blush

nailpolish · 16/03/2006 15:01

i have toast nearly every day for my lunch

i used t have it for brekkie too but now i have cereal (rice crispies)

georginarf · 16/03/2006 15:01

toast is one of my downfalls

in fact all carbs are my downfall. hence I am enormous. Have managed to get rid of a lot of my sugar cravings over the last few weeks and lose a few pounds. am now going to embark on the GI diet as what's good enough for Puff is good enough for me!

cod · 16/03/2006 15:01

STOP THE TOAST

i know np. i have started to take food with me. or go after i have eaten at home.

it doesnt help when people say 'oh your fine the way you are' i need someone to say 'oh my godm you;ve really let yourself go, get it sorted woman'

i have never been slim, but when i met peter i was a size 16. am now a 20-24 depending on where i shop.

georginarf · 16/03/2006 15:07

I have lost some weight through not eating puddings/ice cream/sweets/chocolate over the last few weeks (even whilst on holiday with DH stuffing his face in front of me)

but I have many stones to go.

Piffle · 16/03/2006 15:09

we are lucky where we live with takeaways, we have an award winning Indian restaurant, uses local produce using free range birds and stuff and natural herbs - nice treat and we limit to once every 3-4 weeks.
DS is 12 and he will share this with us.

misdee · 16/03/2006 15:11

yes cod, my kids have eaten takaways. but they are usually at home with grandparents being fed by them. i am just a pig. oink oink.

Nbg · 16/03/2006 15:16

When I split up with xp and started seeing dh I had gone down to a size 6.
I'd also started a new job at the same time which was a few doors down from a very good bakers and the staff would have a mid morning snack from there everyday, followed by lunch.

When I say snack it consisted of a pasty and a bun or cake of some description then a big sandwich and chocolate bar for lunch.

Needless to say I crept back up to a 12 in about 2 months.

misdee · 16/03/2006 15:18

oh i have just got the kids an 8ft trampoline, and am just in the weight limit to use it, so will be using it in the evenings to get rid of a few calories lol.

Enid · 16/03/2006 15:18

ditto puddle

sunchowder · 16/03/2006 15:24

Yes and I blame all of you for introducing me to Green and Blacks. Totally ruined me over Christmas. I saw them at our Global Market and said..humm...think I heard something on Mumsnet about these.....OMG. Quite tastey. :o I have a brother-in-law that lives where they are made/shipped, do they have a place where the deformed ones go? G&B Outlet?

SorenLorensen · 16/03/2006 15:46

I was a skinny child, a skinny teen and skinny at University. When I graduated I didn't find a job for 2 years (that big old recession, remember?) and I went back to my parents to live. I had been about 8 - 8.5 stone. By the time I started work I had crept up to 11 and that's the weight I was when I got pregnant with ds1. Went up to 13.5 in pregnancy - within 3 months of having ds1 I was 8.5 stone again (the amazing breast-feeding and PND diet - works wonders).

Then the weight started to creep up again. I did Rosemary Conley and lost 2 stone. Then I had a miscarriage, then 6 months later I was pregnant with ds2. After ds2 was born I went up to 12 stone.

Did WeightWatchers, lost 3 stone. Christmas 2004 I weighed 9 stone. Since then it's crept up again - I'm back at 11.

Went back to WW with my tail between my legs last week and lost 4.5 lbs.

It's not the losing it, it's the keeping it off that I find so hard. I have to face the fact that I may have been naturally skinny once but I'm not any more - I do have to watch what I eat very carefully.

My downfalls are...well, everything really. I don't eat crap (apart from crisps, I'm a crisp monster) but I love cooking, I love red wine, cheese....

That turned into a bit of a confessional. Thanks for listening, people. My name is moo and I'm a greedy guts Grin
