about the non-homemade nuggets

they ARE shite

the chicken crap that goes into them

a friend bought them for the dds when we went to stay - they STANK

Avalon · 08/12/2005 13:20

Ah, but were they Bird's Eye?

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 08/12/2005 13:20

i find them rather tasty

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 08/12/2005 13:21

oh, they have to be bird's eye. all the other ones are minging. DS won't even eat them. It's as if he knows they are full of crap (when were out and about or at friends etc btw)

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 08/12/2005 13:22

"you could tell enid was cross..... about the nuggets" LOL

OComeOliveFaithfOil · 08/12/2005 13:23

awwwww but eniddddddddddddddd, I want to be let off my breadcrumb duties.

I got some from M&S once and they were disgusting, they had a pocket of air in the middle so it was obviously foul (ha!) chicken squished together.

DaddyCoolNippingAtYourNose · 08/12/2005 13:24

sounds like foul play to me.

Anchovy · 08/12/2005 13:29

Oooh, Enid, I better cough to the fact that I submitted your chicken nuggets recipe to DS's school recipe book! They are a very firm favourite chez Anchovy!

Tortington · 08/12/2005 13:43

i like fishfingers
and chicken nuggets

Enideepmidwinter · 08/12/2005 13:47

good anchovy

bad oo and custardo

Passionflowerinapeartree · 08/12/2005 22:20

Nuggets are yuck, but DD's love the whole pieces of chicken fillet in breadcrumbs from M & S.

jacqueline1 · 08/12/2005 22:42

I had a 'thing' about eating fish fingers as I thought they were all mechanically recovered fish bits but after watching Big Cook, Little Cook and seeing how they are made (the better quality ones anyway) I have no qualms about eating them at all.

(I also have a depraved crush on Big Cook Ben! )

How timely - we had fishfingers for dinner tonight. The lo's practically squealed with delight when I dished them up. My own cooking never gets a reaction like that!

moondog · 08/12/2005 22:51

Why don't you all just buy a fish and cook that??
Ditto a chicken?

{genuinely mystified emoticon]

Moondog - fish bones for a start, plus a tad more effort.

You lazy lot!
Sal,I will make you a restorative meal of fish baked with olives, lemons, thyme and tomato served with a salad, warm crusty bread and a glass of cold white wine.
Takes 10 minutes and will make you feel great.

I wouldn't feed a dog a fishfinger.

Tortington · 08/12/2005 23:00

cos ground up fish bits and chicken claws are cheaper for larger families

Yes Tref!
Custardo..not true.
Sardines and mackerel cost next to nothing.
I could easily make £5 worth of chicken feed 7-8 people.
