Lots of you cook seperately for your children. I never do. We had home made chicken chow mein with noodles followed by homemade chocolate brownies. For lunch DD and I had shepherd's pie and peas followed by pear. (the shepherd's pie was when I made a bit much and stuck the leftovers in a ramekin dish in the freezer).

2 hotdogs with (cold) onions for me, 2 sausages for DS2 and 2 hotdogs (no onions) for DS1

oh - and don't know what DH is having gave him £5 and told him to get something on the wya home from work as I was having a guilt trip about taking the boys to the fireworks (where they had the hotdogs) while he was busy working

I'm ill so DH cooked tonight.
For the meat eaters (everyone except me) wild boar and prune sausages (I kid you not), and I had a Dragonfly mushroom beany burger.
Also, garlic and herb steamed potatoes, and a really delicious mix of greens (chard and white cabbage) in ribbons steamed then lightly fried so it was almost like seaweed.

I can't possibly compete with that.

dp cooked too tonight - sausages and mash - but only 1 potato in the fridge, so we had pumpkin carrot and celeriac mash instead - not sure about celeriac with pumpkin tbh... - but it was more than edible!
