Saw it last night in a packed cinema. The first film I have seen in Aberdeen where the audience applauded at the end!

Really enjoyed it. Great fun, but Pierce Brosnan really CAN NOT sing. Meryl Streep, however, was excellent.

What certificate is it?

Would it be suitable for my 10yo abba fan?

PestoMonster · 11/07/2008 20:08

I think it's a PG.

OneLieIn · 11/07/2008 20:10

You know its a PG - can my 8 year old go? Is there swearing / sex etc?

OneLieIn · 11/07/2008 20:11

Tnoog · 11/07/2008 20:13

I'm going to see this on sunday evening with a couple of friends and can't wait.

It'll be a hoot.

DustyTV · 11/07/2008 20:15

Saw most of it yesterday on the baby screen at my local cinema. I didn't think much to it TBH. Although I would like to see the end just to find out whatb was what, but had to leave early as DD screamed cried so much.

TillyScoutsmum · 11/07/2008 20:17

Going to the pics tomorrow - I want to see this, friend wants to see Sex & The City

I'm a charge of sorting it and unfortunately, I don't think any of our local ones are still showing SATC

Whizzz · 11/07/2008 20:22

Is it as good as seeing it at the theatre though ??

ProfessorGrammaticus · 11/07/2008 22:33

Yes, everything the Guardian says is true but it was still FAB!! I haven't laughed so much in ages, including some very unladylike snorting and guffawing

I went with really low expectations, because even though I have a soft spot for Abba I hate musicals - but I really really enjoyed it.

ProfessorGrammaticus · 11/07/2008 22:34

Particularly the lovely young men in the dance scenes - BUNS OF STEEL!!!

Janni · 11/07/2008 22:36

DH (40) saw it tonight with his 63 year old mother, his 87 year old grandmother and our 12 year old DS. They all loved it!
