Anyone seen? With Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch. Saw it this evening,
Sort of like War of the Roses, hysterically laugh out loud funny in parts, Olivia is just wonderful. Some quite sad moments too. Recommended!

As an aside for our local cinema which is one of those poshed up ones with sofas. £42 it cost for DH and me. 😢.

Wowzers,pricey!😱 Those comfy reclining seats in my local cinema, and the dark, sort of entice me to nod off......🤣

It's not "sort of" like War of the Roses. It's a straight up remake.

I saw it last night and really enjoyed it. It’s so long since u saw the original that I can’t make a comparison, but this one holds up as a great film in its own right.
Also to be very superficial, OC’s wardrobe in the film is fab and I want all of it, and BC looks absolutely beautiful throughout.
Good soundtrack too.

I liked the original so this does intrigue me, but I can’t buy these two as a couple. I’ve just read it’s flopping, so should be out on Disney + in a couple of months’ time.

They actually worked really well as a couple. Totally believable - from the initial chemistry to the descent into resentment and hostility.

I thought that they did work really well as a couple. It deserves to do well, it’ll be sad if it flops.

I haven't seen the film but I thought the same, that they don't look right together. Absolutely loved the original but haven't seen it for many years, may give this one a go coz I love OC and BC

Wow. We had a sofa at our local cinema and it cost us £12 for 2 of us.
Loved the film but disappointed in the amount of bad language, one word in particular.

It may be flopping nationally but in said expensive cinema it’s pretty much sold out all 3 sittings today and two of tomorrow’s!
Clearly we are target market 🙂

I think I’d enjoy it but I just cannot stand Olivia Coleman. She’s so insufferably up herself, and actually outright rude to people in interviews etc but gets away with it by playing a ditzy English lass or pretending to be self-deprecating. She’s very arrogant and barely keeps a lid on it. Shame, as the rest of the cast is amazing.

I just watched it today. Cineworld is doing £4 tickets this weekend.
I thought the film was great, well written and acted.

I watched it earlier & loved it. Laughed out loud loads - less keen on the ending though, was that how War of the Roses ended?

I saw this today too! Absolutely loved it! Haven't laughed like that in the cinema for ages, in fact can't remember a film I found so quick witted, ever!
I've been telling all my friends to go and see it. Even Dd (teen) really enjoyed it and she wasn't hugely keen to go to start.

I can't understand why it would be flopping at all! Lots of mixed age ranges in our screening and 2/3rds full

I had planned to watch it but the reviews have slated it, and I'm not sure about them as a couple.

Will watch it on Amazon prime.
