Liked it! Good tunes, story stood up, and sad/moving at times.

Loved the setting.

Sam was not accepted as the real father, the great twist is that nobody knows or wants to know who he is! Sophie has three lovely dads. But Donna had always really wanted Sam, the love of her life.

I loved it, plot holes and all, despite not being a huge fan of the first one. The "having a blast making it" thing is what stands out for me for both films, you can just tell how much fun it must have been.

I'm another who was a huge Abba fan in the mid 70s till I went to secondary school and suddenly they were SO uncool. So the earlier albums I am word perfect on, but The Visitors is totally unknown to me, and Super Trouper to a lesser extent. Its weird knowing every note of some songs and others not at all.

The other thing was "Hotel Bella Donna". Really? I know its a play on the name but your guests would run a mile.

I took dd 8 today. As expected all references to sex went straight over her head as did the 'plot' and the emotional bits. She enjoyed the music and dancing. I enjoyed it as a relaxed bit of fun.

Yeah it isn' t going to win awards but it is lots of fun, although if cher doesn't win an oscar for the campest perfornances in a film ever ! I won't be chuffed 😀

Finally saw it and really liked it, even though I didn’t expect to. I cried a few times, I lost a family member last week so it may not have been the best film to watch.

I thought Lily James was brilliant. I still think Sky is an idiot. Young Bill definitely had the most charisma. I thought it made sense when she went off with him after Sam. She was hurt and he was clearly a no strings option.

I do think Sam gave up so easily though. So what if she has gone off with another man, if you care enough to ditch your fiancé and come back to Greece at least have a conversation with her.

I love it too much. I've seen it three times at the cinema including the Singalong version and have the soundtrack on constantly in my kitchen.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the first one, the musical or the film, but I think this one is so good.

For context, I am a massive Abba, musicals

and all things camp fan. I clapped at the Cher/Fernando moment Grin

And I've cried every time at the baby bits. My trigger was the "you can do it as a single mother" thing.

I have bored everyone I know telling them they should see it. I have no shame over my MM2 obsession. My DP gives zero fucks about it but my DS is similarly under its charm so he's outnumbered. I have no shame Grin
