Advance tickets now available. Anyone else planning to see it?

Trailer looks fabulous.

I agree-it looks great. Fantastic cast.

AlexanderHamilton · 15/10/2017 00:18

Ds Really wants to see this because Leslie Odom Jr is in it. Dd is intrigued that Sergei Polunin is in it.

I meanwhile love Agatha Christie.

gabsdot · 18/10/2017 09:50

I wonder if they'll change who did it. Most people probably know the ending.

NikiBabe · 18/10/2017 10:37

I actually cant remember who did it. Been years since I read it. Please no one say anything here Grin

I just read the title as 'Muppets on the Orient Express'...

Cakescakescakes · 18/10/2017 19:17

Cannot wait for this!

RichardHendricksGirlfriend · 18/10/2017 19:18

They look to have changed some of the characters around. I can't get over Kenneth Branagh's moustache, I think it will distract me throughout the film!

toffee1000 · 18/10/2017 19:22

They remake films all the time. They won't change the ending because fans of the original would be outraged. Plus the suspect(s) are the crucial part of the whole story, particularly this one because it's unusual.

missyB1 · 18/10/2017 19:22

Great will get it booked!

LadyKyliePonsonbyFarquhar · 18/10/2017 19:35

I’m looking forward to this even if David Suchet is the only Poirot for me.

MusicToMyEars800 · 18/10/2017 22:02

I can't wait to see it, I've seen the tv version, I love Agatha Christie and It has Johnny Depp in it Grin

Snailo · 18/10/2017 22:03

Oh yes Muppets on Orient Express please!

I can see it go past from DS’s window in a Saturday afternoon- no really

TheCraicDealer · 19/10/2017 00:13

I would also pay good money to see Muppets on the Orient Express, with Gonzo playing Poirot, obvs.

I managed to get DH into Agatha Christie (the adaptions at least, he’s not a big reader) and he’s dying to see this now. But agree with a PP, David Suchet is the ultimate Poirot, I don’t think he can be beaten. He was amazing in the ITV Orient adaption, that was a great cast too. Some of the later Poirots have like Michael Fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch and Emily Blunt in them. I love leaving episodes a few years until the plots get fuzzy in my memory and coming back to them’

Littlebelina · 23/10/2017 15:54

Yep, looking forward to this (even if I do know the ending!)

PolkaDottyRose · 25/10/2017 19:27

I would really like to see this, but I wonder how much I could enjoy it already knowing the story inside out?

Snailo · 25/10/2017 19:43

Polkadotty I was thinking that too, but I guess, if it's well done then it won't matter that I know what happens. Eg I absolutely loved the Aidan Turner BBC adaptation of And Then There Were None a couple of Christmases ago, even though I knew the story. Although obviously it's not as good as if you don't know the story at all...

PolkaDottyRose · 25/10/2017 20:15

I know what you mean, and I guess I will likely go..I was very surprised that they made it into a movie though..there can't be many who don't know the story etc

CoolCarrie · 28/10/2017 15:13

This version looks as if it has a lot of action in it, which will be interesting. I love the music from the older one, very evocative.

Snailo · 28/10/2017 17:00

CoolCarrie me too. I'm really interested to see what they do with it!

CoolCarrie · 29/10/2017 19:18

I see Ken got his hands and footprints added to the other stars outside The Chinese theatre in LA this week.

Snailo · 29/10/2017 20:55

Did he now? We went there in summer and it was the most touristy, tacky area ever - although I loved seeing the hand prints of all the old Hollywood stars: James Stewart, Cary Grant, etc.

HollyandBrambles · 29/10/2017 21:08

I don’t know the story at all! Absolutely no idea but I would LOVE to see the film! Shall I quickly read the book first? Or not...??

ContessaBonessa · 29/10/2017 21:09

The 1970s version was an all star cast too. This seems just a bit unnecessary.
