For me it's always the Twilight Saga. Then full on snot filled tissues when Edward's piece of music (Bella's Theme?) that he wrote for Bella.

I read the books before watching the films, and they too made me weep.

I know... I'm a sentimental nitwit.

Patch Adams
Beaches
Love actually
Forrest Gump (sorry)

Lion was the weepiest film I have seen.
About a little boy in India first lost then adopted by an Australian couple. Eventually reunited with his DM.
Brilliant film.

Originalfoogirl · 24/07/2017 23:07

I cry ant the drop of a hat these days. Inside out was the last one which got me. My 8 year old and I bawled all the way through it.

But I have to ask. Short circuit??

I also can't work out why Shawshank made people cry. Fabulous movie, but not a tear jerker.

Time40 · 24/07/2017 23:49

It's amazing how many people have said 'Beaches". It's a great film, but it didn't make me cry. I think it's winning the vote so far.

I've never seen Up. Is it not a good idea?

No, in my opinion, it's not. It starts well, but then gets very childish and silly - it's just a children's film. I couldn't be bothered to watch it all.

Pleasantville made me cry. Not much does.

The Pianist. Absolutely heart wrenching.

The end of Home Alone 1 Blush

Hachi Dogs Tale

Gladiator

Bridges of Madison County - right at the end where Meryl Streep's character has her hand on the car door handle desperately trying to decide whether or not to get out of the car and go with Clint Eastwood.

RubbishMantra that episode of Black Mirror had me bawling too. About a week after watching it my line manager and I were casually discussing shows we'd been watching on Netflix and I burst into tears trying to give a brief synopsis. He'd only been my boss for about a week so I was pretty embarrassed.

I'm not a big crier usually but that really got to me. Oh, and I don't think I can watch Marley & Me again for the same reason In fairness I was heavily pregnant

Properly sob every time at Cloud Atlas from the last letter from Frobisher to Sixsmith until the end of the movie.

The Fault in our Stars even though I've read the book so knew what would happen
