I have to say, I wish I'd never watched The Shining (at a sleepover when I was 14). It scared the pants off me!

Anyone else?

The hills have eyes - I have not been able to watch another horror film since seeing that.

Mamma Mia

sonjadog · 28/08/2016 21:00

Once Were Warriors

carabos · 28/08/2016 21:03

Se7en. Horrific.

Laiste · 28/08/2016 21:08

I've watched a lot of horror films.

Human Cent. was shocking and depressing. Human Cent. 2 was worse. God knows why we watched it. The parts about his home/personal life - the most awful miserable horrible depressing revolting stuff.

Won't watch no.3. Won't watch The Serbian film either.

No escape, I believe it's marketed as an action film. Cried through it, felt sick and had nightmares since watching it. I think its the fact they have their children with them that stresses me the most.

LadySilvia · 28/08/2016 21:35

Came on to say 'The Descent' too, boopsy. I was on a course of high-dose steroids and started to hallucinate that the SPOILER ALERT* ***

humanoids were in the house! I could hear the fuckers!!! 😱

LadySilvia · 28/08/2016 21:37

Not sure I left enough of a spoiler gap there. Sorry if that's the case!

Thegiantofillinois · 28/08/2016 21:55

Ah, now the descent I could cope with. It's the deliberate violence against women that makes wolf creek so awful.

Cocolepew · 28/08/2016 21:57

Just read the parents guide on IMBD of A Serbian Film. WTAF!?

Scott Pilgrim Saves The World, DH still goes on how shite it was.

Advicepls7080 · 28/08/2016 21:58

I've just tried to read the plot for the Serbian film on Wikipedia but I think I'm probably best reading elsewhere

MrsJayy · 28/08/2016 22:01

I have just read the plot toThe Serbian film think Ill give it a miss jesus Shock

LoveInTokyo · 28/08/2016 22:04

Sin City. Gave me nightmares for weeks.

LoveInTokyo · 28/08/2016 22:06

Oh, also I saw someone posting on Facebook about how watching the trailer for The Human Centipede gave them nightmares so I read the plot summary on Wikipedia and even that traumatised me.

I only like nice films. Grin

Mandatorymongoose · 28/08/2016 22:07

Eden Lake was awful.

I watched it alone, on a night shift, in a psychiatric hospital.

Then went to center parcs two days later, in the woods, with a nice big lake and lots of kids on bikes. Lovely.

On another note "Bridge to Terabithia" was not the cheery fantasy film I was expecting.

NotEnoughTime · 28/08/2016 22:08

The Accused with Jodie Foster-found it very disturbing.

Also a short film called Love Story with Patsy Palmer in it-really distressing.

Cannibal holocaust ahhhhh

ToFindAndWakeTheDreamer · 28/08/2016 22:31

Eraserhead. Chicken for dinner anyone? Still have occasional flashbacks 25 years since watching it for the only time.

The English Patient. OMFG, what a terrible movie. Soooo bad. It's not beautiful, it's not wonderfully paced, it's not romantic. It's pretentious bollocks.

Inception. I want to watch it again to see if I was wrong about hating it so much, but the fear of finding out that it's as bad as I remember is too great. Strangely, I love most of Nolan's other films.

YY to Forrest Gump, no idea why it's so popular.

YY to The Mist as well. I don't mind a downer of an ending, but this was just too mean-spirited.

Sucker Punch. I fell asleep.

Kindergarten Cop. Cut a date short to avoid watching the final 4/5ths of it (and is the main reason I don't date devout Christians).

Avatar. White man saves the world by directing allegorical film about a white man saving someone else's world. I think not.

Tenementfunster · 28/08/2016 22:39

Caligula
The wall
The Holiday

theluckiest · 28/08/2016 22:55

Oh yes to the remake of the Hills Have Eyes. We went to the cinema in a large group and this was the only reason I didn't walk out during the film. Hated it & found it really offensive for some reason (can't even recall why)

DH made me watch The Witch last night. That's two hours I'll never get back. Boring & pointless.

I love se7en but that has been mentioned a few times. I am surprised.

shins · 28/08/2016 22:56

All of the horrors mentioned.

Amelie. Twee, nauseating shite. I left the cinema.

MariposaUno · 28/08/2016 23:04

None that stick to mind bu les-miserable the musical one is probably the most boring film iv ever watched, and when I say watched I mean attempted see it 3 or 4 times to give it a chance and the switched off after 20 minutes.

All the horrible singing I couldn't get into it at all. Much prefer the old one which iv seen a few times.

Teeth. I remember watching the trailer thinking it might be good but it's utter shit and horrible, the girl seems to get molested pr raped a few times, switched that off after the Dr scene. Disturbing.

I used to watch saw movies but they get tedious after a few goes they must be on number 10 now god knows.
And hostel I refuse to watch anything like that now a days.

It disturbs me that perfectly healthy human (I hope) can create a script like these.
