I have to say, I wish I'd never watched The Shining (at a sleepover when I was 14). It scared the pants off me!

Anyone else?

Kitty that sounds like Vacancy that was described upthread? I certainly haven't seen it Grin

The Vanishing is all about that one payoff moment, it spends it all on one second. If you know what's coming it can't spend it again.

I just don't get horror films at all. I watched The Glenn Miller Story last night, that was quite emotional enough for me.

TotallySpies17 · 30/08/2016 07:00

Mine is The Shining too. Traumatised!

KittyKrap · 30/08/2016 11:01

Sorry Annandale you're right! It was Vacancy, I knew in my head!

KoalaDownUnder · 30/08/2016 11:04

Oh god yes, Wolf Creek.

Scarred for life. Sad

MmmCuriouSir · 30/08/2016 11:20

Most lately, 'Carol'. Awful and boring.

90daychallenger · 30/08/2016 11:24

Ils. Terrifying.

The Big Lebowski and Dogma. Utter shit that my ex made me watch in the name of being 'cultural of some bullshit.

FranTan · 30/08/2016 11:42

Four months, three weeks and two days. V bleak Romanian film about a student having a back street abortion.

gingerboy1912 · 30/08/2016 17:27

I saw that fran it was bleak but not the worst film I've seen

FrozenAteMyDaughter · 30/08/2016 17:32

Non-horror wise the worst film I have ever seen was the Sex Lives of the Potato Men. Horror-wise, it was Mum and Dad (which puts me off Eden Lake after Hate's post).

DailyMailEthicalFail · 31/08/2016 09:39

Apocalypto - the mel Gibson film.

Brutal and the end is overwhelming.

SandyMumsnet · 06/09/2016 16:48

Biffsboys · 10/09/2016 20:07

Face off - no idea why , the whole concept freaked me out !

3yearsnosleep · 10/09/2016 20:14

Return to Oz. It must be twenty years since I saw it and I still remember the monkeys on wheels and the closet of heads. Bloody terrifying,

Cameron2012 · 10/09/2016 20:15

Sausage party ... Boring
The Flintstones ... Dreadful
Paranormal Activity, when you just see the sheet move, genius, one of the few films to really scare me
The Ring .. Total freakout

Cleanermaidcook · 10/09/2016 20:16

The poltergeist, my idiot mother thought it was a suitable film for us to watch when I was 11 (34 years ago) still not got over it!

ItShouldHaveBeenJessmas · 10/09/2016 20:22

Candyman

Because every time I look in a mirror, the temptation is overwhelming.

mrshuggybear · 10/09/2016 20:24

The wicker man. Creeped me out forever more.

MTWTFSS · 10/09/2016 20:30

Changeling (with Angelina Jolie)- Saddest film I have ever seen!!! :( I cried so much :(

2kids2dogsnosense · 10/09/2016 20:32

Blair Witch Project. What a load of bollox.

And some Spanish thing with subtitles about a madwoman and her mad son, who rented out apartments and tied the tenants with wire to the furniture. Sh1te, but very disturbing and upsetting sh1te. I was really worried about a baby in it (I know, I know - it's not real . . . ).

pinkmagic1 · 10/09/2016 20:33

I wish I could un see Human centipede. Absolutely horrific film made even more frightening by the thought that it could actually happen if some psychopath got it into their head to do it.

2kids2dogsnosense · 10/09/2016 20:33

Dailymail started watching Apocalypto but got interrupted right at the beginning. Now don't know whether to go back to it or not . . .

mycatwantstokillme1 · 10/09/2016 20:36

Cinema Paradiso - The Directors Cut. I wish I'd never known it was because of Alfredo that Toto and Elena never met up. (even though I know he meant well!)
