I am not a film buff but a few films have touched me.

I love La Haine ( or is it Le Haine? french fail, sorry)
City of God

I love gangster films ....Casino, Goodfellas, Scarface, Godfather etc

I like iconic 80s bratpack films - Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club etc

Dirty Dancing is a fave (sorry lol)

I like Tarantino

I am of simple tastes :-)

nokidshere · 03/09/2012 04:12

I am not a film buff at all, I really find it hard to sit still long enough. But I am very old and have seen so many it's impossible to choose.

I have a soft spot for the original Grease film (first time I was allowed to go to the pictures alone lol)

Love African Queen and Casablanca
The birds and Rear Window
The Sting

Love actually is very watchable

And if it's got Patrick Stewart in it I will watch it lol

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 03/09/2012 07:11

Oh and Jackie Brown, the best Tarantino film imo.

And agree with the person who said Starman, that's a really underrated film imo.

micky011 · 08/09/2012 13:27

Mostly i watched drama movies but recently i watched "The Dark Knight Rises" movie relate to action genre. I watched this movie many times and i like it.

I have found this thread really useful. as like the OP I always forget the titles of films so the lists provided have reminded me of ones I've seen and ones I might like to try

I won't do a list for the above reason but for all the Sci Fi fans, my all time favourite has to the new Star Trek film . I never watch films more than a couple of times. The only exception to that would be the LOTR trilogy and the new Star Trek which I have seen 4 times and it still makes me laugh in delight and even has a reasonable number of moving scenes for a sci fi film.
