"The charge follows the release of the image on social media platform X, with the 46-year-old star first accused of re-posting the image on his X account in April 2024.
According to the Metropolitan Police, Fox has now been charged under Section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
The incident saw Fox accused of sharing the compromising photo of TV star Narinder Kaur on social media.
The law makes it a crime to intentionally share sexual images of someone without their consent, with the intention of causing "alarm, distress, humiliation, or for sexual gratification".
He is now due to appear at Westminster Magistrate's Court on April 24.
If convicted, Fox faces up to two years in prison, with the risk of being placed on the Sex Offenders Register."

Sadly I see he is in complete denial he has done anything wrong and a number of people defending him on Twitter. The excuses given are "lots of people shared it" and "why don't the police arrest the person who originally took it instead". Any opinions?

My opinion is he’s a twat and I hope he ends up on the sexual offenders list. I hope it scuppers the remnants of his career and prevents travel to the USA.

I dislike skirts and dresses these days, although I used to wear them almost daily as a young woman. For the past 20-30 years I have only ever worn dresses at weddings - and the last wedding I went to was in 2013.

The picture was taken 15 years ago and has been withdrawn from publication. The offence he’s been charged with is relatively new. He didn’t give a shit about posting it. He doesn’t give a shit now. If he loses access to his kids perhaps he will start to think about his actions but losing a libel case after calling two people on twitter paedophiles didn’t so who knows.

The consent bit is the important. Going somewhere that will involve press attention without pants is not without risk especially getting out of a taxi. I mean not sure I would care if I had made the decision and someone caught a flash.
Bit like Lily Allen who was all over the papers for having a skirt with no pants on a high stage. Her neat wax got as much attention as her music.

She didn’t ask to have a photograph of under her skirt to be taken. Those sorts of photographs are now illegal.

The details that emerge will be interesting, no doubt, as will the ramifications of this law actually being used under the glare of publicity to (attempt to) codify consent by women, children and men in practice and not just in theory. It’s a really important principle. Whether Fox wins or loses, at least the concept of consent gets a timely airing in these strange, post-post-modern days.

Meanwhile it’s the usual players making the usual moves and yammering the same scripts.

That sounds very similar to Gerard Depardieu "apparently confirmed a rumour that he first participated in a rape when he was nine years old and that he had participated in more rapes since then.
