"The charge follows the release of the image on social media platform X, with the 46-year-old star first accused of re-posting the image on his X account in April 2024.
According to the Metropolitan Police, Fox has now been charged under Section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
The incident saw Fox accused of sharing the compromising photo of TV star Narinder Kaur on social media.
The law makes it a crime to intentionally share sexual images of someone without their consent, with the intention of causing "alarm, distress, humiliation, or for sexual gratification".
He is now due to appear at Westminster Magistrate's Court on April 24.
If convicted, Fox faces up to two years in prison, with the risk of being placed on the Sex Offenders Register."

Sadly I see he is in complete denial he has done anything wrong and a number of people defending him on Twitter. The excuses given are "lots of people shared it" and "why don't the police arrest the person who originally took it instead". Any opinions?

She didn’t criticise HIM . She apparently went for his friend and her boobs. So he put up her picture to show her hypocrisy. We only know what’s being reported which is now very basic since going to court.

I’m not a supporter or detractor of LF.
I do think there’s nuance however .If Narinder was randomly papped getting out of a taxi and didn’t then exploit the publicity, fine, throw the book. If she shared the photo herself or was clearly shown to consent to it being posted there’s no case.

As I said the details of 15 years ago aren’t easy to find now.

My position is 100% against women using the patriarchy to elevate themself. Women should be able to show boobs and fannies without it being a sordid crime or the way to
make a buck. It’s always about how men view us.

It’s how fake news gets spread. People repeat but don’t know where / the source they heard it from. It can be very destructive.

Before his arrest, NK was quoted as saying she thought it was an AI image until people online matched her outfit in the photo to an event in 2009 (https://uk.news.yahoo.com/narinder-kaur-breaks-silence-laurence-113602145.html). If she’d been posting the photo herself, she’d have recognised it and if she’d lied basic due diligence by the journo would catch her out.

He’s shown himself to be a nasty piece of work over the years so this situation doesn’t seem hugely surprising.

I am not sure if he was always a complete twat but kept it well hidden when he was being a successful actor or if he changed. I do wonder if it all escalated and now he keeps doubling down on things because it has become his income. There's no lack of average, white, middle class actors so he is unlikely to cast in anything any time soon and he must be deriving income from some of the things he appears on.
I wonder how things are between him and his brother in law Richard Ayoade because he apparently unimpressed with him about the Question Time stuff and he has escalated a lot since then.
