Alcohol.

I also really value down time, when I’m tired everything is so much worse.

Redlocks30 · 28/11/2025 18:26

My teaching career.

Meadowfinch · 28/11/2025 18:35

My last boyfriend.

No more pressure to spend money I don't have.
No more constant criticism of my cooking.
😊

101Alsatians · 28/11/2025 18:36

XH :) We're thriving without him.

AluckyEllie · 28/11/2025 18:36

Alcohol- I don’t do well with the feeling of being not in control.
Forcing myself to do things like Christmas work socials and things, I opt out despite the pressure to go.

Toxic friends

RaraRachael · 28/11/2025 18:39

My mother. Since she died my MH has improved enormously

RaininSummer · 28/11/2025 18:40

Ongoing house maintenance. It's nothing but an expensive endless headache where you are never sure if you are being ripped off even if you can find a workperson. Fed up with waiting for plumbers, electricians etc to come to do what they say.

Onceuponatimethen · 28/11/2025 18:41

Caffeine
alcohol
toxic friends
excessively challenging work

lolly427 · 28/11/2025 18:42

Full time work. Thankfully we can afford for me to work part time.

kittenheel · 28/11/2025 18:43

Caffeine and alcohol

Nothanksnotnow · 28/11/2025 18:46

Work for me and dh. Dc have SEN/medical issues and we both got ill from the stress of working alongside caring. Took a serious health scare for us to realise we needed to stop for a few years while things are so difficult especially as we have no family support

Ribenaberry12 · 28/11/2025 18:48

Half my family! 😂😂😂

youalright · 28/11/2025 18:48

Another xh here. Christ, he was a fucking milestone!

TheWildZebra · 28/11/2025 18:51

Instagram and replaced it with mumsnet 🤣😭🫣

Cleo65 · 28/11/2025 18:52

My incredibly needy aged Aunt, she has so, so much support from so many people - & I am 300 miles away. The daily hysterical phonecalls, sometimes multiple, were incredibly draining & really upsetting for me....so I grew some balls & told her that I could only manage calls twice a week & on specific days.
The relief is incredible!

Beekman · 28/11/2025 18:53

Twitter. I don’t miss having to have an opinion on 17 different non-events before breakfast

HedgeWitchOfTheWest · 28/11/2025 18:53

Redlocks30 · 28/11/2025 18:26

My teaching career.

Same. And it’s been more effective than I could possibly imagine.

BasilParsley · 28/11/2025 18:58

My ex-husband...

OverlyFragrant · 28/11/2025 18:58

The news, and most TV in general.
I don't miss it.

Greenwitchart · 28/11/2025 18:59

Fair weather ''friends''
Toxic parent
Toxic job
London.

I had a big health scare about 3 years ago and it made me reassess my life.

I now live in a nice, small seaside town and no longer allow toxic people in my life.

biscuitscake · 28/11/2025 19:03

My teaching career.
Exhausting relationship with my sister.
Saying yes to everything.
Eating food I hate because it suits others.

Andtheworldwentwhite · 28/11/2025 19:04
