I’m really struggling with my MH at the moment so thought it might help myself and others to share what we are grateful for.
I’m grateful for :-
My physical health is good with no regular pain
I don’t have any financial worries and can pretty much buy what I want to make my life more comfortable (Helps that I don’t have expensive tastes!)
I have a safe, quiet and comfortable home
I am receiving caring and compassionate MH support from my therapist and psychiatrist
I have gorgeous pets who light up my life
I have plenty of time to spend on hobbies and to relax
I have cut abusive family and partner out of my life
Anyone else like to contribute?

This is a lovely thread. I'd like to add -
- I am grateful that my son is out of hospital and all 4 of us are back together in our home.
- I am grateful that it's Saturday and we're taking the kids to mini golf today, I will enjoy seeing their pleasure.
- I am grateful that I got a half decent sleep, not perfect but it's been much worse previously so I'm glad for what I get.
- I am grateful for my counsellor who listened to me this week and gave me a beautiful aromatherapy oil and taught me how to give myself a hand massage using pressure points, it's helped calm me down twice this week already.
- I am grateful for my husband who has been my rock while our son was in hospital for 4 days.
- I am grateful for my sister who did long days/evenings of babysitting my daughter while we were at the hospital, I gave her a bunch of flowers to say thank you.
It's been a hard ass week but I've still got a lot of silver linings there.

What a nice thread. I try and do three pages of journalling a day and write three things I'm grateful for as part of that. I tend to write quite general things like I'm grateful for my husband, I'm grateful for hot showers, etc but I like the way you're more specific so I might try and do that. Today I'm grateful that I'm visiting my sister with my Mum and our travelling all went smoothly. I'm grateful that I have been able to recover from a nasty chest infection because my DH has looked after me and worked very hard to keep everything going while I was ill, I'm grateful that I won a Fitbit in a competition and I'm really enjoying using it as I build up my strength again.

I am grateful that all 4 of my kids are happy and healthy and know they are loved. I am also grateful for my husband, he is my best friend and has been there for me since we first met when I was 15. I am also grateful for my 2 very close friends, they always check in and see how I am feeling.
I have so much to be grateful for but I don't deserve any of it 😔💚

Today I am grateful for my book, which is really good.
I'm grateful for this bath that I'm currently lying in becoming a prune.
I'm grateful for the decent sleep I got last night.

I am beyond grateful For the miracle that was performed for us by St Oliver Plunkett - he saved the lives of both of our adult children and saved our Family from torment and misery inflicted on us by Peter Quinn (Quinn Melville solicitors/St Edwards school and Anne Besford/Harrison - Stephensons solicitors) both tools of Satan and so so grateful for the positivity of these threads 👍☘️ ❤️👍☘️🌟🕊️ and the Holy Spirit x

Hi OP,
Finding it hard to feel grateful today so this one is going to be scraping the barrel of silver linings. I am grateful for discovering a new technique/trick that helps break the cycle of anxious thoughts and helps me fall back to sleep when I frequently wake. If it's any use to you or others the technique is thinking of a category and then trying to list in your mind as many things from that category eg 'fruits' so strawberry, banana, apple, orange or car makes could be another, it's helped me the last two nights - I think it's supposed to be a new version of counting sheep.

Thanks @Nogodsnomasters I will give that a try tonight.
Really sorry you are struggling today. Would it help looking back at your gratitude lists from previous days or have things changed since then? If it helps to talk then I’m here and so are all the other lovely MNetters on this board xx

Thank you cyclealong. Hospital appointment for my son today and my daughter is also sick so a fair amount of stress going on. Thankfully the appointment is over and now just the horrid wait for results. Think I'll get myself a long bath this evening after dinner to try and find some gratitude in that.

I am grateful for...
My sister who is just my best friend even though we are total opposites.
My daughter who is kind, funny, thoughtful, brave and willing to give anything a go.
Two domestic abuse workers who have changed my whole life and I could never begin to thank enough
Having a good job with security
Having a home that is warm and clean
