I cant do this anymore. I cant bear seeing my kids so unhappy. There is no hope for change. Even the samaritans wont take my call. Suicide is my only way out of this lockdown nightmare.

Please dont suggest putting my kids in school, they are not welcome there. Please dont suggest calling a friend, I don't have any. Please dont suggest calling family, they dont give a shit.

Play donut, you sound really overwhelmed. Things are difficult, but I think the lockdown will end. Probably very soon. Which part of the country are you in? I know that scotland and Wales are a bit behind England, but there are signs of change in theses places too.

bowerino · 19/05/2020 04:46

Please dont think like that. All things eventually pass and lockdown will too. Has something specific happened to make you feel like this?

Nihiloxica · 19/05/2020 04:48

Playdonut

The lockdown is shit, but it will end. You are not alone in feeling this way, but we are nearly through it.

WinWinnieTheWay · 19/05/2020 04:48

Tell me more Op.

Have you felt like this before? Are you in your own?

WinWinnieTheWay · 19/05/2020 04:50

I promise you that lockdown won't last forever.

WinWinnieTheWay · 19/05/2020 04:51

Have you slept?

Playdonut · 19/05/2020 04:52

No the kids are in bed. My poor poor kids. I'm in london.

I have been feeling like this since the start of lockdown but what made it worse today is that 2 personal friends who are teachers contacted me telling me not to send my youngest back to school on 1st june.

It wont ever be over. I dont know a single person willing to take the vaccine. The people with gardens are happy so not putting pressure on the government.

WinWinnieTheWay · 19/05/2020 04:54

It will end.

Playdonut · 19/05/2020 04:54

And when the samaritans wouldn't even answer due to coronavirus. I think I might have had an hour sleep I'm not sure.

Playdonut · 19/05/2020 04:57

Before lockdown, the kids were always in sports, with tryouts for top london clubs. They used to do homework without asking. We used to see other people. I was trying to get back into work. It wasnt perfect dont get me wrong, but it was better than this by miles.

OP posts:
Nihiloxica · 19/05/2020 04:57

Yes, kids can get depressed.

Boys or girls? One of each?

Playdonut · 19/05/2020 04:57

1 boy 1 girl

OP posts:
Playdonut · 19/05/2020 04:58

My teacher friend said if the kids seem depressed then its down to my parenting as I am not doing a good enough job of making things positive for them.

OP posts:
Nihiloxica · 19/05/2020 04:59

I have a 7 year old too.

Do they look out for each other?

Playdonut · 19/05/2020 04:59

Sometimes and sometimes they kick the shit out of each other lol

WinWinnieTheWay · 19/05/2020 05:01

It is tough and you sound exhausted, but you have to hang on in there because all of this is temporary and you will get your life back.

Can you call you GP at 8am?

Lockdown is so difficult on top of whatever else your going through but please see past this if not for yourself but for your children. As you’ve pointed out you feel like you have no family and friends, who would be left to support your children if they lose the most important person to them. These are dark times but there’s 100% a light at the end of the tunnel, granted it’s not very clear at the moment but it’s there! As people have mentioned lockdown will likely to be over in a couple of weeks. Think about all the things that will keep you going! I’m struggling being locked up with a newborn with colic and a toddler going through terrible twos but the thought of going to the beach after this is all over and spending the day with my family and dipping my feet in the sand keeps me going and meeting family! You have to hang on to the little things at the moment. Stay positive think about what you’ve achieved so far and what you can. I don’t know you but I already know you’ve got some small little faces to look after and that’s the biggest achievement being their mummy! You can do this from from one desperate mummy to another!!! ❤️
