Mumsnet keep deleting my threads and the last one had no reason whatsoever but the only way I am getting through at the moment is with random chat with people on here

Been struggling the last few days without a thread

These are the bundles of naughtiness - I guess they are ok, not spent any time with them

Just got home, been driving around aimlessly, spending money on things I don’t need so as to avoid going home

Now home and back to my thoughts

Oh my goodness how cute are they!😀 thanks for the pic.

Well done on your task btw. I'm stressed tonight too...just got a new now tv thing and don't know what to watch 🤔

bangheadhere40 · 27/02/2020 19:19

What did you buy? I am trying to not spend this month but never goes to plan does it 😂

Myshitisreal · 27/02/2020 19:22

Those rabbits are so cute ♥

Lobsterquadrille2 · 27/02/2020 19:23

Aw, they are really lovely. Blossom was one and .... Albus? Don't think that was right, sorry. Which one is Blossom? And yes, what have you bought? I do that as distraction ....

This site still doesn't want a photograph of Cordelia!

You're doing really well. Keep remembering that, if you can.

PurpleFrames · 27/02/2020 19:34

I'm dying to see your cat Lobster!

Those bunnies are simply too cute- is it just me or does the second one look like s/he's sticking out their tounge!

I think we can all be guilty of pushing ourselves to meet others needs way more than our own.

What's your plan OP?
Do you want to speak to your CareCo tomorrow?
How can we support so you get something over the weekend as I envisage that the 2 days of out of hours services is looming for you..?

bangheadhere40 · 27/02/2020 19:35

I want to see Cordelia too...great name as well 😀

Lobsterquadrille2 · 27/02/2020 19:56

Cordelia! 😀

Strugglingalone · 27/02/2020 20:08

Blossom is the black one and Albus (Albus) is the white and fawn

I bought loads of cleaning products that I really don’t need or have any use for as I’m struggling to function on a far more basic level than cleaning

OP posts:
Strugglingalone · 27/02/2020 20:10

@PurpleFrames he is - he has no teeth due to overbreeding and his mouth not being the right shape so his tongue always hangs out 😂

I really want to speak to my care co tomorrow but I don’t see how anything is going to be any different, why wait till tomorrow when it’s bad now

OP posts:
Lobsterquadrille2 · 27/02/2020 20:10

I adore the black one.

Well .... two choices: take them back in the next few days and get a refund, or store them away for such time as when you feel like cleaning. As spending sprees go, that was a very restrained and sensible one 😀.

bangheadhere40 · 27/02/2020 20:11

Cordelia is lovely and I'm not a cat person, nice green eyes!

I do that, buy endless cleaning products, I quite enjoy cleaning and using my new products. Zoflora is a good one...although I would rather not clean.😀

Strugglingalone · 27/02/2020 20:11

@Lobsterquadrille2 yay! she does look very cute!

OP posts:
bangheadhere40 · 27/02/2020 20:12

@struggling if the person you want to speak to is there tomorrow you may as well wait to speak to who you want......x

Strugglingalone · 27/02/2020 20:13

@bangheadhere40 that was one of the ones I bought! And not really restrained been spending £20-30 daily of things I don’t need but somehow do :-/ just a way to be out of the house and away from my thoughts

Bought pancakes and toppings tonight too because I didn’t have them the other day and they were grim, either I have really really gone off food or I hate pancakes!

Lobsterquadrille2 · 27/02/2020 20:14

Thank you! She's very spoiled, mainly by DD.

@Strugglingalone so if you can get through the next few hours with inane chat, then speak to your care co tomorrow, that sounds like a plan. Have you eaten today?

bangheadhere40 · 27/02/2020 20:15

I forgot it was pancake day, my poor kids never got them ☹

Zoflora is good...I use it a lot, and can also spend silly amounts on cleaning products. They seem cheap don't they but you get to the till and like you say £30 gone😂

Lobsterquadrille2 · 27/02/2020 20:16

Cross post and I'm really jealous of your pancakes! We still have cheesecake ..... it's going to last quite a while ....

Strugglingalone · 27/02/2020 20:21

Cheesecake sounds better! Wish I hadn’t bought the pancakes

I’ll try, at the moment I’m currently shaking with anxiety and I’m scared that speaking to her won’t make it any better and then I’ll just be left for the weekend

OP posts:
bangheadhere40 · 27/02/2020 20:26

It's okay. I've never really discussed my issues with anyone but I certainly have anxiety badly. When I was a teenager I used to self harm ( I do understand what you are going through). And with all the doctors / professionals not good.

You seem to have found a rare gem in your care worker tomorrow though...and it's definitely worth speaking to her tomorrow... as she sounds to understand. It's hard finding people that do, but you seem to have found a good one there?

Strugglingalone · 27/02/2020 20:37

She is brilliant in that she really understands but she can’t make things better or put anything else in place, she’s bound by a shit system

Although apparently they can’t ‘make things better’ anyway, they had to come from me and it doesn’t matter whether they offer any care or not - what a load of rubbish!

OP posts:
bangheadhere40 · 27/02/2020 20:44

Yes! It is rubbish, I've found that and bound by systems. I'm glad she is good though.

I don't know the answer, I did a bit of reading online myself when I felt no one else would help.

I'm glad you started this thread....I'm sure it's helping other people as well who read but don't comment. You are doing very well....

I know you said you are a SEN teacher and I would really like to ask your advice about my son as you work in the area. He's incredibly bright but I think he may have autism?! Do you find really clever children aren't diagnosed? I think because he is so bright that's why nothing is picked up.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 27/02/2020 20:45

I totally agree that it's worth speaking to her tomorrow - just to have the freedom to speak to someone you know you can express yourself to, who understands, and not just in writing 😀.

My self harm was of the copious amounts of alcohol sort, which in theory should be really simple to stop! It seems a long time ago but at the time I was very sure indeed that I'd never be anything other than a hopeless alcoholic.

Strugglingalone · 27/02/2020 20:47

@bangheadhere40 thanks, I hope so, although I really hope that no one else is getting pushed aside in quite the same way!

In all honesty so few children have disgnoses (money again) - none of my nurture group do :-( I think it’s even less likely if he is doing the right things at the right time and achieving in school. My schools radar is on the ones who are struggling behaviourally or constantly missing targets. Most parents have to fight exceptionally hard for a diagnosis

OP posts:
Strugglingalone · 27/02/2020 20:49

My self harm takes so many different forms, it swaps as I manage to get one thing under control it just morphs into something else
