Mumsnet keep deleting my threads and the last one had no reason whatsoever but the only way I am getting through at the moment is with random chat with people on here

Been struggling the last few days without a thread

Lobsterquadrille2 · 26/02/2020 15:18

I've never said this before but could you show them this thread?

Nobody can say for sure what it will be like. We can hear that you would benefit from some real life help, that I wish I could give you but can't do any more than type into a phone to encourage you as best I can to keep the appointment and to try to communicate with your support worker. Sending you loads of strength and support.

Strugglingalone · 26/02/2020 15:19

But if they don’t see it again, I can’t deal with that again

I can’t keep fighting

OP posts:
bangheadhere40 · 26/02/2020 15:21

Yes, can you show them this thread?

Strugglingalone · 26/02/2020 15:26

It doesn’t really say much as I can’t say risk having my thread deleted again

I’m shaking, anxiety is so bad!

OP posts:
bangheadhere40 · 26/02/2020 15:33

It says enough to get through how you are feeling...I would advise showing them this thread so far......and think that would be a good idea, then maybe they could ask you questions, it would be a starting point.

bangheadhere40 · 26/02/2020 15:35

It's probably time to set off anyway if you are 15 minutes away. We will be here when you get back.

Myshitisreal · 26/02/2020 15:56

Not caught up but sending strength 💪 🤗 ♥

Strugglingalone · 26/02/2020 15:59

Shaking so much, I shouldn’t have come

OP posts:
Myshitisreal · 26/02/2020 16:39

How did you get on xxx

Strugglingalone · 26/02/2020 16:44

No point, decision made

Been told to challenge the left side of my brain, that’s it!

OP posts:
Myshitisreal · 26/02/2020 16:48

What decision?? Jeepers what does that even mean xx

Lobsterquadrille2 · 26/02/2020 16:51

Hi OP, sorry, had to walk to my mother to sort out the printer ....

Left side of the brain? So, are they saying that you need to be more logical and rational in your thinking? I hope I'm misinterpreting that, as we could all benefit from that sometimes - if only it were that easy!! Or do they met set SMART objectives, that kind of thing?

Strugglingalone · 26/02/2020 17:02

No idea that’s all she kept repeating

I’m fed up of services, I can’t express myself anymore

OP posts:
PurpleFrames · 26/02/2020 17:21

How did you afternoon go OP- I haven't rtft as I popped out. Hope you were able to get some support.

I just had a really horrid experience of racial abuse in the supermarket. I'm nearly home but not quite yet. I've progressed to being able to handle these sorts of situations on my own. Before I needed the cmht for any decision or difficulty and they were never going to be able to offer what I needed and I had to practice some radical acceptance about that.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 26/02/2020 17:32

@Strugglingalone that sounds ... very unsatisfactory for you, which is something of an understatement. That was all that was said so ... do you have any follow up from your appointment today?

@PurpleFrames that's awful. Hope you're ok.

Strugglingalone · 26/02/2020 17:42

@PurpleFrames I’m really sorry that happened :-( there is just no need!

No nothing, left to fend for myself. Diabetes nurse has tried to get people to listen today, it’s taken all day for her to get any response but there’s no point

They just don’t give a shit! No one does

OP posts:
Lobsterquadrille2 · 26/02/2020 18:47

@Strugglingalone we all care - I know that isn't of real life or practical help. It's hard to understand at a distance why you are not getting the support you obviously need. Is talking on here of any help? Can you make a written, formal appeal against the unsatisfactory appointment you had today, expressing your bewilderment about the left side of the brain focus?

For now, think about tea, soup, toast, insulin. I know that you may not want to, I really get that, but they will help.

Strugglingalone · 26/02/2020 19:08

Had to take antihistamines and anti-anxiety meds’ as having a panic attack and then an allergic reaction to my panic attack

Cooked a ready meal but just can’t face eating it

Can’t face anything, just completely out of fight

PurpleFrames · 26/02/2020 19:17

I think it's very rare that staff actually don't give a *hit but it's more that the thresholds for everything are so high and so many people are in crisis that it's really hard to get what you need. If you've ever been an inpatient (I hope you never have to be) you'll see that in action.

Thank you both for your thoughts I really appreciate it x as usual people just stand by and let a man froth and scream at a 5ft slim build lady. Society is really numb to hatred.

OP- do you feel like you could share your area with any of us? Perhaps we could find more appropriate services for you then? Or maybe even we're nearby- just a thought.

(But obvs as the usual Mumsnet tagline says don't offer any info that you're uncomfortable with or offer more than you can provide with your own health in mind)

bangheadhere40 · 26/02/2020 19:23

@purple, sorry you have had such an awful day, hope you are okay!

@struggling what meds are you on can I ask? Have you tried anti depressants? I was on them for years and found they helped numb now panicked I felt.

bangheadhere40 · 26/02/2020 19:36

I think a lot of these qualified people just don't understand, I don't think you can unless you've been there yourself, no matter how much training you have. Left side of the brain - what nonsense...in this scenario anyway, that's not going to help is it.

4 of us on here care OP, so chat to us. I can't believe how little work I have done today at work.....

Strugglingalone · 26/02/2020 20:00

@PurpleFrames I’m in East Anglia, google the county with the mental health team in special measures and you’ll find me. My care co isn’t in tomorrow so really panicking already (she doesn’t work Thursdays)

@bangheadhere40 quetiapine, propranolol and diazepam when things are extreme - stopped venlafaxine a few months ago and me and nurse didn’t notice any difference. Had been on them for 10 years and really not noticed any difference since coming off them

My actual nurse is incredible, today was a waste of time and the poor support worker couldn’t get a word in edged ways but could see her looking concerned

Hehe what do you do? I’m sure they won’t have noticed

I’m debating ringing 111 again, I’m so lost and scared, the diazepam has done nothing, the thoughts are so intense

OP posts:
bangheadhere40 · 26/02/2020 20:10

I have been on various over the years, none now.....Venaflaxine was the worst I found for side effects, terrible. I found sertraline or citalopram the best, and I've been on a lot over the years. They all work differently.

I also got prescribed propranolol and diazepam at extreme times, I don't think propranolol does anything though. Diazepam I'm not sure....the doctor didn't want to give me them though.

I work in a sales role...so it's hit and miss how busy it is...hopefully I've got away with it today 😀

bangheadhere40 · 26/02/2020 20:11

Re diazepam not sure what dose you are on, but the 2mg they gave me did nothing. If I took 4mg maybe a bit but hard to tell.

I would maybe try a new antidepressant though...sertraline or citalopram.

bangheadhere40 · 26/02/2020 20:15

I'm glad you can see whoever you saw today was a waste of time....they sound completely incompetent. Could you go and see your actual gp ?
