Feeling very alone

I'm feeling very alone. I hear voices, and they're very strong at the moment,, plus I have depression and suicidal thoughts (partly because of the voices). I can't bring myself to phone the crisis team.

I'm so sorry to hear your feeling this way..
Have you contacted crisis team?

SnowyMouse · 25/01/2020 10:37

I haven't, the voices tell me not to.

Hi OP
I can be in a similar situation to you at times. I found although the crisis team can be a it hit and miss empathy wise, they're keen for you to talk and are good listeners. Maybe just say what you've posted and ask what to
Do)

SnowyMouse · 25/01/2020 15:01

Thanks. It's a bit chicken and egg as I'd need to ring them to say that.

I've been texting the samaritans, it works a little as a distraction.

The voices are making me feel desperate.

Do you have any prn meds? I have olanzapine prn, which I am taking currently. I also got diazepam on Thursday try to me through this blip.

Wolfiefan · 26/01/2020 15:55

Have you managed to contact the team yet?

SnowyMouse · 26/01/2020 16:15

I could take some diazepam, that's a good idea. I haven't managed that yet Wolfiefan.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 26/01/2020 16:23

Could the diazepam help you make the call? What would you say to them OP?

SnowyMouse · 26/01/2020 16:29

I'd tell them what the voices were saying, if I could. That's what I'm chatting about with the samaritans.

Have you a good doctor at your surgery you can speak too? Are you having any therapy one a regular basis in conjunction with meds?

SnowyMouse · 26/01/2020 16:38

I do have a good gp, and I have CMHT (although that's complicated at the moment). No therapy, I need to be well for that apparently.

Would you consider going back to your GP to ask for additional help and support? The mental health service I've witnessed is far from perfect and persistence unfortunately is necessary. You definitely need more help than your receiving op as it's not right you are left struggling Flowers

Wolfiefan · 26/01/2020 16:43

Could you practice with Samaritans exactly what you would say?

SnowyMouse · 26/01/2020 16:55

I see my GP soon, theoretically about other things but I might have to prioritise. I've been texting the samaritans, I can't ring them either.

Def make it a priority with your GP Snowy as you deserve to feel better than this...Flowers

SnowyMouse · 26/01/2020 17:19

Thanks Yesterdayforgotten. Life is difficult at present.

OP posts:
Yesterdayforgotten · 26/01/2020 17:22

I understand Snowy and when you feel like that it can be such a huge hurdle to get over. Take one day at a time and if you have a slightly better moment and feel brave enough to talk to your doctor def do it. The doctor is there to help you. I hope you feel better and are able to seek out the support you need x

SnowyMouse · 26/01/2020 17:29

Thanks yesterday. I'll just have to see how it goes.

I survived my blood test, luckily nobody asked about the marks on my neck. GP is later this week.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 27/01/2020 10:41

What marks OP?

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 10:51

I don't think I'm allowed to go into specifics here?

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 27/01/2020 11:04

If you have hurt yourself it’s not a good thing that you weren’t asked. You need to seek help.

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 11:56

I'll try to speak to my GP later in the week.
