Feeling very alone

I'm feeling very alone. I hear voices, and they're very strong at the moment,, plus I have depression and suicidal thoughts (partly because of the voices). I can't bring myself to phone the crisis team.

I've just found out I'm seeing someone from CMHT tomorrow, I'll try to talk to them.

You really need to. Sooner rather than later OP.

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 13:05

I did tell them over the phone when they rang earlier.

About your neck?

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 13:11

About what caused it.

Are you being totally open and honest with them? I know you can’t and shouldn’t on here.

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 13:20

I am when I can

You need to be. Always.

Hi SnowyMouse,

We're really sorry to hear that you're feeling this way.

We can see you're getting some good support from other Mumsnetters here, but we thought we'd also add a link to our Mental Health resources as there are many organisations listed which could give you some more support in real life.

We're glad to see that you've made contact with the Samaritans; we thought we'd also put a link to Mind's website, and in particular their tips for everyday living.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

Sending good wishes, Snowy. Flowers

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 14:22

When the voices are strong it's really difficult to. Thanks for the links

That’s when you need to most.

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 16:53

All I can do is try.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 27/01/2020 19:02

Please do. I know it can seem impossible but it’s the only way to get the help you need. Flowers

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 19:36

Any handholds this evening much appreciated.

Here Snowy and I understand how difficult mental health can be... Flowers

I do hope tomorrow is a better day for you than today. Tomorrow is always another day and remember you wont feel exactly as you do at this moment forever. Hopefully you will feel better.

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 20:00

Thanks Wolfie and Yesterday. I've just been looking back at my posts in 2013, I was so much more confident.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 27/01/2020 20:01

You can get there again. Small steps.

SnowyMouse · 27/01/2020 20:19

I'm not even managing basic self care at the moment.

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 27/01/2020 20:51

I’ve been there. The idea of having a shower seemed impossible. It can change.

Yesterdayforgotten · 27/01/2020 22:14

Just think Snowy you have been that confident once and although it may seem impossible now you can be again. You can get there with the right support Flowers

Yesterdayforgotten · 27/01/2020 22:16

I know when I've felt like that even setting one goal a day has helped alittle: 'tomorrow I will clean my teeth or shower' for example. Just one thing a day and I have felt better after and alittle more me again. Small steps and be kind to yourself along the way...

SnowyMouse · 28/01/2020 11:03

I've put my toothbrush on charge, it had run out. And I've booked a taxi for the GP tomorrow.

Wolfiefan · 28/01/2020 12:44

That’s great. Good luck with the GP.
