Does anyone want an accountability buddy to help them get their todo lists done? Public To do lists with an aim of being more productive.

Hello! I am feeling a bit low at the moment and am looking for ways out of this through productivity. While my child is at school I am trying to work alone at home. I wanted to suggest looking for accountability buddies.... a group where you can share your list of to dos as a way of making yourself accountable. The aim would only be to be supportive of each other in a non judgmental way. The accountability really comes from inside the writer.... but it might I think help to put something up on line.
I think I can help myself by putting up a list of things I am trying to get done and noting them down as I do them. SO, here goes... if anyone wants to join me they would be most welcome.... and I will do my best to cheer them on! best petal.

So in my 4 hours I have only managed 780 new words ... but almost half of my aim.... perhaps I will achieve more later this evening.

My big ones are tidying and doing more exercise. I’ll break both down into manageable tasks when I’m back from work.

Yes... well tidying and exercise are on my list too .... how are you going with breaking it down... I am just looking at my place and feeling completely overwhelmed still.... this just doesn't seem to get any better!!
Ah well... time for caffeine overdose and then set to!

So.... I have been tackling my ironing pile... I think I will just finish that...

Well, had very little sleep... managed to tidy the sitting room and kitchen and wash the carpets in sit room... then revised application and had a Skype interview.... bought sp lunch and a new parking ticket.... now sitting like a zombie unable to get anything done... think will copy kitten and have an hours sleep.

Well it’s too hot for much. Managed some laundry, gcse maths with teen, made veggie and pasta soup for lunch (which we ate cooled 😅 and a quick trip to asda.

Now sitting still and moving as little as possible.

good to have you back... well you sound like you are managing well... despite the heat. Oh... it is just something for work.... but have to get it done asap. Im being terribly slow. I had a decision overwhelming me and it continues to do the same.... I really don't know what to do....and I am finding it is stopping me from coping with everyday everything.... I really do feel completely stuck. funny the intricate connection of ones feelings with what one can achieve. I don't really have anyone I feel I can talk to about this... it is too much. I think I ought to try and find someone tho.

Hi @LivingInLaputa! Welcome! Good to hear from you! I really hope that you soon feel you are coping again! I have been feeling particularly low today .... I poured it all out in an email to a poor friend and it really made me feel better.... even if he doesn't have time to read it and respond properly (tho he prob will!) but even if he didn't it was very therapeutic and reenergised me! Whats your plan to get on with today? Ive just managed to clean and tidy my kitchen so my next plan is bed!!! best to everyone today Petal.

Hi! Well, had a little sleep... so one important thing is today to get the house tidy for visitor... but also the other important thing is to share the time and get the rest of my thing written... I don't feel like doing this at all but I need to. So ....
I have 6 hours... lets say 4 to writing 2 to tidying.
4 rooms
30 mins each....
and the garden.... and build a bed.... I can do this... in 2 hours

then 4 hours to write.... come on lets see you do it P!

Shopping list:

bread flour.
food for picnic later.
pizza toppings
fruit

Im feeling much better now.... have been doing emails and reflecting on things... and don't feel so weighed down and ill. will quickly go and get some bread flour etc then come back and tackle house!

petal you're doing an admirable job in this heat! all power to you, just remember to take regular breath breaks and hydrate hydrate hydrate!

I pulled myself over the doorstep to go meet my bf and her two little ones for lunch, then watched them for half an hour while she got some shopping done. Feel like I've accomplished something by helping her and had a giggle with the children, whom I adore. On my way home to sit in the coolest part of the flat and read and lick smoothie ices!

Best of luck to everyone else getting on with their tasks today - or not! special dispensation due to the thundering heat!

Hello may I join! Struggling with depression and OCD while also on the brink of splitting up with dp. Need to keep myself functioning!

To do list today:
Get DD ready for childminders and me ready for school (teacher)
Go into school and plan for next week/rest of year (so not much then!)
Don't drink so much tea I get jittery. 1 tea every two hours to keep me going. Drink lots of water instead.
Exercise
Cook a nice tea for DD.
(Resist falling into a mire of self-destructive thoughts....)

I managed to work well and although I got hardly anything done compared to what I wanted I feel I've achieved something!
Also managed a run and to buy and cook DD her favourite meal (tinned pasta so not too taxing!)

Evening to do list:
Washing up.
Yoga
Try to do something relaxing like watch a TV programme or call a friend.

Feeling very low this morning. Needed to run for longer last night as it didn't lift my blues.
To do:
Hair cut
Dentist
A long hard run to really get the stress out of my legs

To do list today:
Mark last 8 pieces of coursework before term starts (should take no more than 3 hours...)
Yoga (trying to do this every day)
Some work from by CBT book (trying to do this every day)
Discuss the future with dp.....

So yesterday I managed my to do list apart from the discussion with dp part...
Was awake most of the night with anxiety so feeling pretty fragile today.
To do list:
Relax with a film/book while DD is at a party (basically impossible to me, just the word relax makes me anxious!!)
Do more CBT notes about my anxiety last night
Yoga

Didn't manage to watch a film but did manage to go swimming which suited me as a more active way of relaxing.
Today I managed my very basic to do list of surviving first day back at school!
Tomorrow's target : have a civil conversation with my new line manager. Who, not to put too fine a point on it, is a man I despise.

looks like it is just you and me at the moment so we can let rip with our lists!!
I am just FAILING to clean my kitchen!!! Im so uselesss!! However, I will have a go now.... divide up into small sections.... third two work surfaces..... so six bits.... empty dishwasher, wash up, lay out rugs, oh clean floor first.... clean hall floor, clean bathroom floor, clean all bathroom surfaces.....
Im going to give myself 1.5 hours to do this.... til 20..00 hrs.
ok... bear with me.... SOO boring! x
