My mind is going so fast, I just can't cope with anymore and I'm so ill in my mind that it's making my whole body hurt and my heart beat weird and I feel totally lost I don't know what to do I need it to stop

Aveiam · 03/12/2016 20:32

Justaboy · 03/12/2016 20:34

Have you tried calling the NHS service on 111 at all or an out of hours GP service for advice or help?.

fallenempires · 03/12/2016 20:35

Here to listen & virtually hold your hand.I know how hard it is to tell those in RL about this.Smile

PurpleDaisies · 03/12/2016 20:38

I know it's hard to reach out to people in real life, but that's where you'll get the best help. Flowers

Have you got a crisis team number? Out of hours GP or the Samaritans? A and E will see you.

Aveiam · 03/12/2016 20:42

I don't want to be sectioned that's the only reason I won't go to a&e

OP posts:
Justaboy · 03/12/2016 20:46

Ah, see what you mean but it sounds you really need some help. I suppose you've had this problem before what treatment have you been given can you say?

PurpleDaisies · 03/12/2016 20:56

Can you think of it as going voluntarily to geg the help you know you need rather than being sectioned?

Aveiam · 03/12/2016 21:06

I've had cbt and therapy. Do you think I will be sectioned if I am honest with them?

Hi there OP,
We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources - here. You can also go to the Samaritans' website, or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.
All the best from all at MNHQ.

PurpleDaisies · 03/12/2016 21:09

Being totally honest, I don't know because you haven't shared what your thoughts are but you sound like you need to see someone with medical and accept whatever help they think you need. Flowers

Did your CBT give you any strategies for calming your mind when the difficult thoughts started? Has anything helped in the past?

Justaboy · 03/12/2016 21:11

Under most circumstances sectioning is if they think that the patient is at risk of harming themselves or harming others. Of course we don't know all the circumstances but seems to me its an anxiety attack of sorts wouldn't think that you need sectioning for that but you really must as I'm sure you know speak to someone or get some help please?.

Aveiam · 03/12/2016 21:15

I am desperate as in I want to die (I know these posts aren't allowed here so I am not going into detail) but I'm too scared to tell them that at a&e

OP posts:
Justaboy · 03/12/2016 21:17

Aveiam well if not a&e then please call the Samaritans for some help or at least someone to talk to. Their number is 116 123

spankhurst · 03/12/2016 21:18

Sweetheart, you are ill and you need help. Please speak to someone in RL as soon as you can and get the help you need.

fallenempires · 03/12/2016 21:30

Aveiam · 03/12/2016 21:52

I'm in my car just driving around I don't want to be still. My daughter died I don't have anyone and I've just left my ex again

OP posts:
spankhurst · 03/12/2016 21:56

I'm so sorry about your daughter. How dreadful for you. No wonder you are feeling so ill. I really think you need to get proper help asap. Could you drive to a and e? I know you're scared.

Justaboy · 03/12/2016 21:59

Was this a recent event Aveiam?, it's around the worst event anyone could suffer, will you please go to a&e i cannot think they'd section you for what is the grief of loosing a child you poor soul.

fallenempires · 03/12/2016 22:27

Oh you poor love,I can't ever imagine what you're going thru.Have you got an assigned MH worker? If you have please be brave & contact them. They're meant to be available as part of the team 24/7.Flowers

fallenempires · 03/12/2016 22:35

Also agree with spankhurst & Justaboy re: A&E if you can't get hold of the MH team.

Aveiam · 03/12/2016 23:18

I don't know what to do

OP posts:
MoreBushThanMoss · 03/12/2016 23:32

Are you in a safe place now Aveiam?

Do you have family or a friend you can go to, or who can come to you?

If not, i know you're reluctant, but I would encourage you to seek help at a hospital. Whatever they do, and inpatient treatment is just one of a wide range of possibles, they will only do what's best for you, sweetheart.

You need to be with people in real life, who can actually hold your hand and help you through this - were all here for you online, but please please don't be on your own.

At the very least, as PP suggest, call the Samaritans. A friendly voice might help calm those awful feelings.

Justaboy · 04/12/2016 00:12

Aveiam just take yourself off to A&E so your somewhere safe where you'll get some help there. And from all you said i don't think you'll be sectioned but please go there where someone else is around.

Got to go now but please heed the advice. Bless you.

Aveiam · 04/12/2016 00:39

the mh team don't do ongoing care as they're too busy so they just discharge me back to GP and then I have to wait for a new referral every time. I am too scared to go to a&e I can't bear to be locked away somewhere where anyone can do anything to me. I am so desperate but too scared

OP posts:
MoreBushThanMoss · 04/12/2016 03:43

Oh Aveiam ... I so feel for you. I can only reiterate that l think you need some RL assistance to get you through this ...

In the meantime, you say you have done CBT - did that work for you?
Can you use any of the techniques you learned to help you regain a little calm?

Once again- is there a loved one you can be with, so you aren't on your own?

You say you've been referred back and forth to your local MH team - could you get an emergency GP appt this weekend to discuss your options once more, and perhaps they can refer you / offer you help with short term medication or more counselling?

You do have options to feel better, love. And inpatient care is just one of them - and you would never be just "locked away somewhere", were it to happen.

Please seek help.
