Hi purple & welcome! Hope you & tornado-boy enjoyed your meal & that he's now fast asleep (or getting there at least). You sound like the perfect fit for this lovely safe group that latex started.

saltededamummy · 27/10/2016 20:18

Well done & thanks for the report, pinksquash. Glad the GP increased your meds, sometimes people resist that (thinking that a higher dose is a sign of weakness) but actually you're just getting it right for your needs, which has to be a responsible thing to do Grin

saltededamummy · 27/10/2016 20:22

Meanwhile there's an interesting thread in General Health about vitamin supplements. In particular, vit D deficiency can cause depression, which most people in the UK don't have enough of. (I was deficient so take a daily supplement, it's also helped reduce some of my joint aches).

AnxiousCarer · 27/10/2016 20:39

Welcome Purple. Pink big hug to you, have you been to a&e? Theres normally a long wait for crisis team, but worth it if thats what you need. You could also phone crisis team directly the number should be available online or through the hospital switch board.

saltededamummy · 27/10/2016 22:09

That's a good idea, carer.
I love how we are helping each other here Flowers

duffinthemule · 27/10/2016 22:21

Hey can I join?

I'm duff and I have anxiety and depression. It was my DS's birthday party yesterday and I have spent all day today in bed with a migraine because of my anxiety about it.

That's all really. Tomorrow I am getting up early and making the most of the day.

I guess I just needed to share.

WristBoundLatexBitch · 27/10/2016 22:30

Ladies sorry I haven't read the last few replies, but I've drunk too much again. Stop me drinking more! Till I fall asleep

Welcome Duff,
We are all a littls odd here, but everyone has similar experiences of MH.. And everyone is also very kind...

saltededamummy · 27/10/2016 22:39

Hey Latex we missed you!!
Yes, stop your flippin' drinkin' - I'm doing Sober October (it's a Macmillan charity thing, not hard to guess what you have to do in it) & I am jealous!!

saltededamummy · 27/10/2016 22:41

Hi Duff & welcome. You can have Brew & Flowers but I suspect Latex has drunk most of the Wine

WristBoundLatexBitch · 27/10/2016 22:43

Haha thanks salted Grin

OP posts:
saltededamummy · 27/10/2016 22:45

Duff does that mean you actually threw a party for your DS? You are a total hero if you did, no wonder you're feeling exhausted, anxious etc today, that's no small achievement Star
Don't force yourself to over compensate tomorrow please, that boom-&-bust cycle is no good for anyone. Can you be a teensy bit gentle with yourself?

WristBoundLatexBitch · 27/10/2016 22:51

And I doubt I was missed Grin in never missed Wine

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 27/10/2016 22:52

Hope the party went well Duff. Latex must have drunk the wine as I'm having a G and T.
Garage are bloody lovely. Phones just to let me know what it was and they were waiting on a part. Gave me an estimate and said they would really try to get it done today. They did. £40 only. And the problem is solved. A perished rubber pipe. Actually was blowing exhaust fumes straight into the car through the vents. Bloody glad I go that sorted.
My lovely mum reckons DH has me insured. He maintains he's the one who's well insured! Hmm
Shock

WristBoundLatexBitch · 27/10/2016 22:52

C'mon Latex, you're what? - Gorgeous? Pssed? Bald? Quite funny? Actually Theresa May behind that pseudonym?
I reckon I'm right on 3/5!

WristBoundLatexBitch · 27/10/2016 22:57

WristBoundLatexBitch · 27/10/2016 22:58

OP posts:
saltededamummy · 27/10/2016 23:00

So pleased for you about the car, Wolfie. Great to have the problem solved & for such a relatively small sum, especially as it could've made you ill with those fumes inside your car.

(I can't stand gin since I binge-drank when I was 16 & threw up in a school playground. I'm ashamed of that, especially as it wasn't a one-off!)

WristBoundLatexBitch · 27/10/2016 23:02

These days I look at 80% of threads on here and call troll. It's boringWine

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 27/10/2016 23:04

salted did we go to school together? Gin and lemonade and vodka and coke at lunch?!?!
Wrist I would bloody love purple hair. Won't go with the eczema on my face though!! I have gin in the fridge and a posh bottle in the cupboard too! Grin
Salted I think 3/5 sounds about right.

saltededamummy · 27/10/2016 23:04

Ooh I love brightly coloured hair! I wish there was stuff like that around when I were a lass (am 50 soon). I had to faff about with peroxide; must've looked a fright, with my home-made highlights.
Or are you just a lilac-rinsed old dear, even older than me - albeit with a user name thats more risqué than most OAP's?
