How bad will I feel in the morning?

I've had a really difficult time. I decided today i was going to drink loads so I could just have a few hours off from feeling -suicidal- rubbish. I rarely drink. So far I've had 2.5 glasses of wine and five sparkling wine truffles. I'm a light weight so already feeling it. This is a one off. Probably won't drink again for weeks.

I'm still sad but resigned.

2.5 glasses? You'll be fine.

Goingtobeawesome · 27/02/2016 20:32

I plan to finish the glass and maybe have more if I'm allowed.

How big were the glasses?

I think you'll be fine, but maybe have some tea now and try to get an early night.

Sorry you are feeling rubbish tonight.

Are you taking any medication, OP? If not then you should be sbdolutely fine (except for perhaps a headache in the morning!)

Goingtobeawesome · 27/02/2016 20:34

Quite big

If you're suicidal don't drink as its a depressant. Eat some carbs! I mean biscuits, white bread crisp sandwiches...

Sensible answer - stop now, and have some water. You will be fine in the morning. Is there anything in particular you have to do tomorrow?

Why are you so sad OP?

Just drink some water before bedtime so you arent dehydrated.

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources - here. You can also go to the Samaritans' website here, or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.

We are going to move this thread to the Mental Health section shortly.

I'm off to bed. I'm sorry for being a twat.

I'll probably be more mortified in the morning. And will just hide

Thanks all

You are not being a twat. Hope you sleep well.

captaincake · 27/02/2016 22:17

Make sure you have a decent drink of water before you go to bed and keep a drink of water next to bed so you can have a drink in the night. I find that works the best for keeping away the worst of a hangover.

mmmmmmmmmmcake · 27/02/2016 22:18

You are not a twat.
Hope that you get some sleep tonight, the wine might make you feel worse in the morning, just keep reminding yourself that. Come back to this thread and post again if you can. Flowers

mmmmmmmmmmcake · 27/02/2016 22:21

sorry that meant to mean that it's the wine not anything else.
I posted on this thread and it helped me a bit.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted for being so kind and gentle.

I'm feeling very teary this morning. I was planning on doing an errand but I think I might still be over the limit to drive. Does anyone know as given it is an errand to the police station SadSad I don't want to turn up still feeling the effects. Full stop I don't want to drive but the PS adds an extra worry.

I'm feeling so useless. I think I upset someone at a school meeting (they've behaved like a twat and I don't like it but I shouldn't hold grudges) and I need this week over so don't have to interact. The PS errand is going to be hard. My house is a tip. I nearly made my DH cry last night and I'm just feeling so alone and sad. Also not well, under the hospital to check for bad stuff and I've just had enough at having to catch and hold all the shit thrown at me.

I used to be happy and funny with loads of friends and now I'm a moaning needy twat.
