Just that really.

I've been up and down and fighting fire for a long time. My 'coping' behaviours have now become very dangerous

I saw a psych doctor who offered me an admission if I felt I could no longer keep myself safe.

My head is full of destructive thoughts. DP has locked the back door so I can't get out. He doesn't know I have a key to the front door hidden. I don't want to die, but I can't help with these thoughts in my head much longer.

Crisis team are coming in the morning. All I have to do is hold on until then. 12hrs, I have no idea how I can do that.

Please keep me company

Thank you fiorentina

It's really really busy, I can count at least 10 people waiting in this waiting room, and there are separate waiting rooms here too.

I'm here, so I'll wait with you.
Fingers crossed for a shorter wait - sometimes what looks like a lot of people moves very quickly

MummySparkle · 08/10/2015 22:27

Thanks pink

The nurses have been calling lots of names, but the people don't seem to be here!! The waiting room looks less busy now than it did when I came in, but then there was a group of 6 people for one patient, so that clears some space.

I think a few people have given up and left. There's a teenager opposite with a suspected broken arm. His mum is talking to some other people and it sounds like they have been here for hours

Hang in there...... you WILL be seen soon.

You can do this - even if you just manage the next 10 minutes and then the 10 after that.

MummySparkle · 08/10/2015 22:46

I've just seen triage. Aparently it's a 2 hour wait from booking in. So I've got an hour and a half left.

Counting down the hours, this feels like deja vu

There's an old guy asleep in a wheelchair, I hope he doesn't miss his name being called. I've fallen asleep before and been taken off the list. Only dawned on me when people who I remembered arriving were being called through. Apparently they'd called but didn't realise I wasn't with the group of rowdy rat arsed girls that were sitting near to me.

At least the ward will call up if there's been no news for hours

Hey there Sparkle!
Time in A&E always seems to pass at a much slower rate than everywhere else!

tinybellows · 08/10/2015 22:48

I've been where you are op, remember waiting in a&e for hours. I find it hard to think about it now (was 5 years ago).

I survived, was treated and am happy now. Hang in there. Just do whatever it takes to get through each minute.

Thinking of you and I will keep checking in. Xxxxxx

pinktransit · 08/10/2015 22:48

That's progress.... even if it's not a lot of progress.
Did you manage to play the free rice game?
Or have you got more lives in Candy Crush yet? What level are you up to? I'm utterly addicted I think - I started playing when it first came out, and had to stop as nobody I knew played so I couldn't move past the first level. I've made up for it since!

Allalonenow · 08/10/2015 22:52

Glad to hear that triage have seen you, at least you are in the system now.

MummySparkle · 08/10/2015 23:00

Why have I not played candy crush yet?! Thanks pink for the reminder!

Thank you alone and bellows too. It feel a bit better to have company

I've only ever played the short free version of CC, I bet the main one is quite addictive. I used to love the sound effects
All Thanks

pinktransit · 08/10/2015 23:06

I'll join you in a quick game :)

regularbutpanickingabit · 08/10/2015 23:08

Candy crush top tip - if you run out of lives, go to your phone settings and reset your clock for 3 hours ahead. Reload the game and you will refill your lives (for free because the game thinks you have accrued the time for new lives). Immediately go back and put clock back on auto. Repeat ad infinitum. You will now be candy crush queen, for however long it takes to be seen.

pinktransit · 08/10/2015 23:11

Ooh..... sneaky!!
I will try that when I've run out of lives, and used all of my gifted ones too. :)

MummySparkle · 08/10/2015 23:12

I'm being seen! Maybe they bumped me up the list because I'm from psych

OP posts:
pinktransit · 08/10/2015 23:15

That's brilliant - much quicker than expected :)

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 08/10/2015 23:15

Candy Crush then Candy Crush Soda? I'll join you in a game too. A&E often seems really busy at this time of night doesn't it but hopefully some of those waiting are not patients but people accompanying a patient.

MummySparkle · 08/10/2015 23:29

Nurse is lovely too Smile

tinybellows · 08/10/2015 23:34

Pleased you are seeing someone nice.

onehellofaride · 08/10/2015 23:43

Hole everything is going as well as it can be Pink. Thinking of you

MummySparkle · 08/10/2015 23:55

Halfway there, nice nurse finishes shift at midnight so she's getting someone else to finish up. She treated me like any other person who needed stitches and we've had a nice chat about her cat Smile

OP posts:
pinktransit · 09/10/2015 00:02

That sounds good. Hopefully the next nurse will be as nice too.
I'm going to have to go to bed now, it's been a long few days. Take care of yourself, update when you can, and I'll come back to this thread in the morning x

MummySparkle · 09/10/2015 00:55

Night night pink sleep well.

Cat nurse was literally the best nurse I've ever had. I need to write down her name andsendn a review. Lovely doctor has is just getting dressings for everything, then I get to go back to the ward for a room search

How did you manage to SH when you were on the ward mummys - that shouldn't have happened, nor should they have sent you to A & E on your own, whether you're on a section or not. Sounds a very strange psych ward. Hope you're ok.
