Extremely sad news to share

I'm sorry to have to let you all know that Helen sadly passed away early this morning.

I know that she has posted on Mumsnet for over 10 years, under many different user names, and I'm not sure what they all might be, but this is the user name that is stored on her laptop.

I know that she was not in pain and she had her parents and myself with her.

Its difficult to put into words, but I know that she always loved posting and spending time on these boards, and I know she offered so much to your community, even when she was not at her best.

I hope that I have put this message in the correct section, and if not please move it to the most appropriate area.

Dear Jon,
I am so very sorry to hear the sad news about Helen. She was so young.

I know we are all strangers on the internet but her posts used to make me want to give her a big hug and want to magic away her illness.

I hope you have lots of support. It must be such a sad and difficult time for you. Look after yourself. Thanks

I am so sorry to hear this. She came across as such a lovely person and it was so hard to read how much she was suffering.

Oh I am so sorry. I enjoyed speaking to her about her colouring books :)

She spoke so very highly of you. If you ever need support then all of us are here and willing to listen anytime x

Very sorry to hear this news, and my deepest condolences to you Jon and to Helen's family. I remember reading her threads when she was writing as Fluffydressingown, and although I never contributed to the threads I was grateful to her for sharing her story and allowing me to understand a little of her experience. Oh no, Sad I have a 15yo dd who has MH problems and depression and I lurked on Fluffydressingown's threads. I bought my dd some adult colouring books because of her and they are really helping. Sad

OMG just seen this... So sorry for your loss Jon.

I've conversed with her on many occasions on these threads and am saddened by this news.

I hope you have some real life support during this difficult time.

I remember reading Helen's posts when she was waiting to be admitted earlier this year. They were harrowing, poor lady. I so hoped that she'd be able to find some way through and I'm really sorry to hear today's news. Flowers

Jon, I'm so, so sorry for your loss.

Helen and I talked a bit over the past few years as we waded our way through the mire of crappy mental health.

She was a lovely woman and always spoke so highly of you. I'm so very sad that her life has been cut short.
