I'm sorry to have to let you all know that Helen sadly passed away early this morning.

I know that she has posted on Mumsnet for over 10 years, under many different user names, and I'm not sure what they all might be, but this is the user name that is stored on her laptop.

I know that she was not in pain and she had her parents and myself with her.

Its difficult to put into words, but I know that she always loved posting and spending time on these boards, and I know she offered so much to your community, even when she was not at her best.

I hope that I have put this message in the correct section, and if not please move it to the most appropriate area.

With great sadness

Jon ( Helen's husband )

So sorry for your loss. She will be missed.

Pispcina · 13/05/2015 20:50

Oh no Sad

She was lovely. Reading her posts I just wanted to put my arms round her and take it all away.

It was clear how much she loved you Jon.

I'm so sorry. Flowers

Very sorry Jon to hear this. I remember her very well. She did indeed speak very highly of you. She said you were a fantastic husband and I am sure you are. I do hope you can grieve in peace. I am so sorry that creamhearts is longer with us. I don't know what else to say...apart from you were a great comfort to her even at her most distressed x

Fairyfellowsmasterstroke · 13/05/2015 21:01

Poor Cream. I have read many posts on MN but reading Helen's were so sad. She was clearly in so much pain and turmoil and, despite a lot of professional help, no-one was able to alleviate her suffering.

She always spoke highly of you Jon - I remember reading how you were cooking Bangers and Mash a few weeks ago whilst she waited for the Crisis Team to attend - I think she really appreciated your normality.

Flowers for you and Helen's family x

I'm so sorry Jon. I held her hand on her thread waiting for the last assessment. I kept checking back and really hoped things were helping. She said how amazing you were to her.

Dear Jon,
I am so very sad to hear of Helen's death. I know your heart will be breaking right now and that formulating any kind of thoughts will be hard. I know this because I was widowed two years ago. Take each day, each hour and even each minute one step at a time. Gradually, those minutes, hours and days will add up and you will start to find yourself able to live again. It won't be the same life, but you will find a new way of life when you are ready for it. In the meantime, be kind to yourself and know that the lovely Mumsnetters will be right behind you.

If you are under fifty, I would gently urge you to google www.widowedandyoung.org because the charity have been an absolute lifeline to my children and I since the sudden death of my husband. Take care.

I'm so sorry Jon
I know creamhearts and I have talked on here many times - I expect trying to support one another and others - as well as maybe some other random crazy stuff
I have a warm feeling when I see her name, but I have a memory like a sieve (so please forgive me for that)
Thinking of you and all creamhearts family and friends at this sad time Sad

What awful news. So sorry to hear this but you've been very thoughtful to come here and post this. Helen was so clearly a very strong and wonderful person who retained clarity even in hard times and thought the world of you and your infinite support but such terrible news this happened. Thoughts are with you
