I feel so so bad tonight. Have never posted on here before, but I am not going to do anything stupid, I just want the desparate feeling to stop

Hi piper I am on venlafaxine anti depressants
I can't think or concentrate I've been trying to make myself a tea for 20 minutes I just can't make it happen I am so frustrated and scared Sad

Do you want to talk about how you're feeling or why you might be feeling that way? Or we can just talk about random crap Smile

I know it's hard to put into practiced but try to remember that however bad you are feeling, it is just a feeling and nothing more. And no feelings last forever, this will pass, and you will be ok.

My baby daughter is here sleeping. My dp left the flat about an hour ago, we had a fight
I try to remember it will be ok I am just tired now and I don't want to feel like this anymore.

Not surprised you're tired with a baby! Let alone all the stress of arguments..

Do you have any 'go to' things to help you relax? When I'm feeling a bit freaky I have a few different things I do - listening to my ipod in a comfy chair with my eyes shut, reading a novel I've read before (so I don't have to concentrate too hard!), I also have some relaxation podcasts I downloaded that help.

Do you want to talk about what's happened with your dp? Or not.. Either way is fine, whatever helps...

I used to self harm which I know isn't what you meant! But this hasn't happened in a long time I haven't cut for a month and a bit now
I am listening to some music I will try to do some food prep for Dd I think, I feel less shaky, I want to stop crying.
He said I was being a dumb bitch and threw a toy and walked out. I feel shaky from the noise but less so now

Do you have someone who you can call to have a chat with? If not do you feel able to talk on here or ring samaritans? I usually find talking to someone helpful, even if they don't have any constructive advise to say back.

Distraction is always good I think, food prep, listening to music, whatever.

Do you think your medication is helping you? Do you see your gp regularly for monitoring? Although I have to say, medication or no medication, having a partner who speaks to you like that is going to make anybody feel shit. Trust me, it's not you...

I don't feel like it helps and this medicine is horrible I missed one day and fainted twice but my gp doesn't want to change it. I was make him angry he was at the end of his tether he said. I asked him to take his glass in the kitchen and he said he would do it when he wanted so I told him he was being unfair and now he is angry. I never mean to annoy him but I'm shit at being in a relationship.

Btw what you said about not having many friends to talk to - It's really easy to get isolated when you have a baby. Never too late to start building bridges with friendships that have lapsed though!

I have friends but quite superficial friendships.. I guess more acquaintances than friends. Yes I have my mum and dad close but they are both in ill health and I have four sisters and a brother too

Re the meds - could you see a different gp at your doctors surgery? Doesnt sound like yours is listening to you.
