It's hard work being around people when you're low; it's only natural that it'll take a while to recoup your energy Flowers

Thanks, Flowers

Plus your antipsychotic level will be down a bit, which won't help.

have you had lunch yet? am going to buy the lunch things in a minute once yellowfin tuna steak and 100g grilled veg mix (about 252 cals in total) is cooked and eaten - breakfast was 3 nescafe caramel latte sachets made into gloop (204 cals)

#1 is coming for supper, she wants a spinach and gorgonzola pasta bake which sounds nice but probably a bit too purgeable plus is hard to find nice gorgonzola without schlepping to waitrose, anyone have any nice baked pasta and spinach recipes - maybe a lasagne without the white sauce?

#3 is riding all da ponies with help from a friend and friend's mum

CaulkheadUpNorth · 08/02/2015 13:39

All the ponies at once? Is she superteen?

PollyPooic · 08/02/2015 13:40

the lunch things for the week I mean

#3 wants tacos/nachos/dorito pie (so will have to cook the beef/beef and beans today?) which will probably layer nicely in the jars, caprese salads, pasta and pesto with spinach - all these things will look very tempting sitting in the fridge I think

PollyPooic · 08/02/2015 13:41

hello you!

she is super teen but will prob ride one while another is on the walker

there is a plan to get rodeo boy a bit fitter, again, we make this plan quite often then at some he bolts and bucks and nobody wants to ride him for ages

UpOnDown · 08/02/2015 13:41

I'm not sure what I'm having for lunch, depends what has the soonest date on it. I don't have any pasta recipes.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 08/02/2015 13:44

If the spinach is in a tomatoey sauce it can be layered with lasagne sheets or make them softer and roll into cannelloni. Or lots of cooked roasted veg and spinach and pasta in a big dish covered with cheese. But lumpy not smooth.

I have failed after everything except seeing htt/crisis team/whoever they are and eating the last Oreos. And showering. I have showered. So really that is a lot of achievements.

Ennn · 08/02/2015 13:46

I had three soft-boiled eggs and a tile slice of amaranth and quinoa rye bread that I didn't like at Christmas and filed away in the freezer until I was desperate enough for carbs that it became palatable. As I'm increasing my AD dose and unable to run for a while I'm going to have to be more careful with my diet Sad

I have also been wearing the same flannel pyjamas since I put them on after a bath on Friday Hmm

I am sure this means something.

Probably that it's the weekend and they're comfy.

I have just tried to tell DP that I don't have a mental illness and he asked me if I was joking Sad

I want to ride, but not enough that I'm prepared to leave the warmth of the house and drag pony in from the field

CaulkheadUpNorth · 08/02/2015 13:54

Flannel pyjamas are great. I have worn the same clothes each day, including the skirt which is glued because the seam split. I have had pyjamas though.

Ennn · 08/02/2015 13:54

But poneys are warm.

that sounds good caulk - and I'll also be making pasta and the indescribably good hot red pesto that #3 loves (no anchovies for her though) for these lunch jar things so she and the grandbaby can have some of that as they are both a bit annoying to feed sometimes

or some of the chili that am also somehow making if I ever have a break from smoking and being on the computer and ignoring my tuna and veg

anxiosity about handling so much food

how long until you can run en? was it something to do with your knee?

am going to rejoin a more local gym in case of protracted recovery/rehab as I think the rowing machine is the closest sort of endurance type thing I can do to running, takes about the same time to row 5 or 10k as it does to run so it will help - but I don't have one at home

Ennn · 08/02/2015 13:56

I mean literally, I haven't taken them off.

am wearing ribbed knitted leggings, sports bra and a zip up waist length coat Hmm and my hair is piled up on top of my head because was experimenting with makeup when friends came to get #3 and one said I looked like a ballerina Grin

Ennn · 08/02/2015 14:00

I don't know how long to leave it before I start running again. The receptionist said the x ray was normal (as I knew it would be) so I don't think there's much point going back to the GP as he's pretty much already said he thinks it's patellar tracking problems and that he would refer to physiotherapy. Which I don't think will really help because patellar tracking is one of those euphemisms for "yeah, people get this problem sometimes, it sometimes goes away I'd they stop doing the things that aggravate it" and AFAICT the purpose of physio is to have something to distract you while you're letting it get better, or not, as the case may be.

OP posts:
Ennn · 08/02/2015 14:00

I look like three or four ballerinas stuffed in a giant sausage casing.

The thing is IMO I don't have a mental illness. Just a proneness to bouts of depression, like some people are prone to catching colds. It's hardly "an illness" and I find it weird that in between bouts I'm using up/wasting resources that other people need (and that I need when I have one of my mental colds).

Have I got time to go to the supermarket and buy copious quantities of dairy products, do we think?

OP posts:
PollyPooic · 08/02/2015 14:07

physio is helpful for looking at the whole kinetic chain though

my one does really detailed running assessments, you might need orthotics or whatever, I don't (or didn't, who knows now?) need those but I have a bad habit of running entirely on my toes which is ok over 3-5 miles a few times a week but maybe not long distance - maybe you over pronate and need stability shoes?

is worth seeing a physio surely? especially if it's free?

want to show you my lovely knitted leggings/footless tights but they don't seem to make them anymore :( they are from this lot of knitted yoga/dance people

Ennn · 08/02/2015 14:09

There are no appointments available with that GP for another month (actually an osteopath, but we'll forgive him that) and I'm not sure a different GP would so readily refer.
