Which reminds me I must book my car in for an extremely overpriced service.

Maybe you should give the rowing a miss for a couple of sessions sand just focus on your upper body. Feel free to disregard and if my advice given how little I ever exercise.

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 19:37

no you speak wise words, I will probably just do 200m or something and see how it feels

will be good to work on upper body

and my underperforming glutes

is a bit of a shit gym but cheap and easy to get to, and they have a TRX thing so I can do stuff with that, and weights obviously or I could go fucking mental and swim (scared of pools) AND I will be able to listen to music, always very envious of people who can run and listen to music at the same time

HellinaHandbasket · 09/02/2015 19:40

I don't do swimming pools, far too much dirt floating round in a warm soup. Ick.

DavidTennantsBeard · 09/02/2015 19:40

Anyone who needs something free to do (or possibly revenue generating) should check out the Marie Kondo decluttering threads. At this rate our house will be empty by the time I go back to work. Have listed pram and massive lego collection on eBay already.

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 19:42

oh no I can't possibly tidy up, I have to rehabilitate my calf

I can only go the gym or do horse related things

or lie down

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 19:44

I dropped this: *to

go TO the gym

not go the gym

Millie2013 · 09/02/2015 19:48

Are the threads on MN, David? I need to de-clutter, I don't think the amount of shite I'm holding onto is doing my mental health any good

Millie2013 · 09/02/2015 19:51

Found it!! :)

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 19:54

annoyingnosity Angry

physio has emailed the outcome of today and the things to do, which is great, and added a note to say that she forgot to charge me for the missed appointment in about 1911 or whenever I last did something similar to myself

I thought I had got away with that :(

DavidTennantsBeard · 09/02/2015 20:09

Hope you enjoy the Kondo-ing Millie. I don't post on the threads but I read the book and am kind of implementing it. It's weirdly compulsive , but more harmless than some compulsions!

Ennn · 09/02/2015 20:28

Wow. Gym is crap when you're trending low. Now I remember why I hate doctors who suggest exercise for depression. No. It doesn't work. Maybe for prevention. Maybe gentle walks in the sunshine, getting out of the house. But actual exercise? There's no endorphin rush, no thrill of competence, competition, or improvement. Just slow slogging painful tedious worthless knackering effort. Bof.

Totally agree. I go for walks but only places there are fun with trees and mud and animals. Well done for doing it and going though.

They must do. Needycat does so horses must.

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 20:34

mud and animals does sound nicer than the gym

I like gyms though, they are quite stimulating and even if it doesn't lift your mood you still went and you still did it even if it wasn't as long or as enthusiastic a workout as usual

have an appointment at mine at midday tomorrow, in case I forget (unlikely)

Ennn · 09/02/2015 20:37

Thanks Caulkand Polly.

Mice and rats have personalities so I would imagine horses do too, since they're nearly as intelligent.

HellinaHandbasket · 09/02/2015 20:37

Horses definitely have personalities. Mine is a gentle scaredycat. Like his owner he has good days and bad days.

PollyPooic · 09/02/2015 20:41

even chickens have personalities and look how tiny their brains are

here is an old pony (naghtynoodle) smiling

I assume every strange horse I meet is a 700kg psychopath with teeth.

Ennn · 09/02/2015 20:42

That way I have avoided ever being bitten, trampled or bodyslammed.
