Oh no enpo Sad Sad When did you do it?

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:14

A day ago? Maybe two? Couldn't run cold water on it as the roux would've burnt if I'd left it and when I tried to wipe the roux off my hand (hot oil, sticky flour) a tiny bit of Cooked skin came off too

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be tho

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:15

Gross picture alert Grin

SnowyMouse · 05/02/2015 18:17

Ouch Sad looks painful.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:19

It was when I did it and will be if/when the damn things deroof themselves like they always bloody do, but just at the moment they're mostly okay. Am such a fuckwit Grin

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 18:19

Horrible blisters BUT you have perfect nails and I am jealous.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:20

Am proud of nails Grin thank you - but Mavis wants me to cut them short Sad

Ivytheterrible · 05/02/2015 18:22

Looks nasty En. Reminds me of when I worked at McDs and continuously had burns and welts on my hands.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 18:24

I've never understood how people can self harm by burning themselves. A few times I've caught or trod on my straighteners and I've jumped away before realising I have, if that makes sense.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:25

Yes can always tell someone who works on the fryers Sad

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 18:27

Or panini grills. anyone else have panini grill burns? Bastards, those are. I also have a scar on my chest where I was cleaning a coffee machine and the boiling water sprayed me Shock

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:29

I SHd with boiling water from one of those kitchen geyser thing once when IP (in shitty kiddy loony bin - was told what a stupid thing to do it was, offered no treatment and told "I thought you wanted it to hurt?" when I asked for painkillers) - hand looked like an inflated latex glove Grin

Cigarette burns are worst, take ages to heal, but most of my cig burns aren't self-inflicted - were either done by another pt in same kiddy loony bin, or by this guy I met for sex a few times when I was 16, who liked to give me cannabis and cut my breasts Hmm

I knew a girl once who burnt herself with lightees , GOK how.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:30

I bet panini grill burns are really painful.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 18:31

Cut your breasts?! Shock My love he sounds like a charming one. Oh to have the wisdom we have at 28 when we were 16, eh? Sad

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:32

I suppose your clothes clung to you with the boiling water Caulk?

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:33

Yeah, I was fifteen when we first met. Interesting guy. Told me I was special, blah blah blah Grin

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 18:34

Yep, and I was on a busy shift, with lots of macho men where stuff like that happened and you just got on with work. Most were ex chefs and they had that busy busy loud thing going on.

I once put a cigarette out on my hand whilst driving. I was on the motorway and didn't want to open the window, but what made me extinguish it on myself I have no idea. Confused

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:34

Am not particularly wise yet Grin give it a few more years.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:35

Am amazed you didn't crash, Caulk.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 18:36

Aged 16 I dated a guy who was my age now. It didn't seem weird at the time, but I cannot imagine dating someone who is 16 now.

I'm not wise, but I have taught the cat to open the door so there must be some wisdom in there. And I'm definitely wiser than I was as a teenager.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 18:37

Ah no, I only crash whilst going very slowly in a car park or on unlit roads in the dark when there is a car I don't see.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:38

I'm still living with the 20-years-older guy I moved in with when I was sixteen (not the cutty burny one). I think I am wiser than when ibwas a teenager but not through learning, just through biology - am much more grand old duke of York now Grin

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:38

Carparks are treacherous

CaulkheadUpNorth · 05/02/2015 18:39

If you weren't with him, can you imagine being with a 16yr old? It's that way round I find odd now, now I'm so old and stuff.

Ennn · 05/02/2015 18:42

Um...

Probably not.
