Could you have Anna as a middle name? You could also have my old surname, will even let you have the family too?

Would it be easier to keep your current initials as well?

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 14:14

no no I want my own surname but is v kind of you to offer

your old one was v similar to my original one at birth, a similar profession, but in forrin

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 14:17

Ooh. My original one at birth is lovely, v rare and I had it for four years, sadly dm married the step father and I gained his instead. I have another from the Real Dad but he isn't great, hence an entirely different one.
Could you shorten your first name to initials?like being known as PD?

SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 15:10

I have managed 4 plastic bags worth of shredding (probably 6 months worth) Shock

NiamhNext · 22/01/2015 15:33

Sorry phone died! I don't like eggs either but do like the other things I put in an omelette. Help yourself to frozen spinach lumps. Can't be bothered with the fresh stuff, it takes up too much room in the fridge.

It is Duolingo! My second attempt at it, but the only way I can pick up a language is to stick at it for days on end, leave it, then go back to it and go over it all again, until some of it sticks. Then I might find a college course. Not brave enough for that yet, I'd be lost.

I have since gone to fetch meds and also dropped DC's green slip in because forgot before.
Also found I'd dropped my crochet hook in the surgery. Couldn't face going back tgere so I went and bought another (I know, not normal) but I did find one ball of wool to finish off a pair of gloves I'm making. So good because couldn't remember what type it was, failed to find any anywhere. I'd done the body of the gloves and middle fingers, so you can imagine the frustration.

Sod the mopping and whatever else it was. Back in bed. Worn out.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 15:40

Wows snowy that is very good. Well done

Niamh I think I would have bought a new one too, although would have been knitting needles instead.

Everyone is out again so I'm having a party/rave with the cat

SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 15:46

I knit too, can't crochet. Well done on getting stuff done, niamh

I'm watching QI.

SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 16:12

I'm very hungry, need to wait til 5 to eat.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 16:13

Not long to go.

What are you knitting at the moment snowy?

SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 16:17

I'm not knitting at the moment, I should find something. My tension is very tight, so clothes don't work well - the blanket I made at Christmas was supposed to be 7 squares long, but ended up being 9 'squares'.

SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 16:30

I think it's hormones, I always feel more hungry at this time of the month.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 16:34

Can you have it now instead of at 5?

I had to train myself to have loser tension but I can't remember how I did it - just being aware of it maybe?bif you went up a needle size it wont notice too

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 16:34

*too much

SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 16:38

No, I've just remembered the trick of drinking some water, so I should get through til 5.

I go up two needle sizes, that gets the width right but not the length. Thanks for reminding me Smile

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 17:58

am hungrier than usual today too, and feel startlingly normal - more normal than mental anyway Hmm which is good

a warm drink can keep you going between meals sometimes snowy, some amazing teas out there mostly without caffeine and all without calories (as far as I'm concerned) is just hot water isn't it - or you could go fucking mental and have a teaspoon of veg bouillon powder in hot water (16 cals)

have had a higgidy spinach, pesto and goat's cheese slice (380 cals) from petrol station and still have negative net cals (minus 194) according to MFP, it's a losing battle on days of longer runs - no wonder your friend eats about 3000 a day caulk - but am in a nice state of mind for an evening omelette, probably with rice

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 22/01/2015 18:07

I'm home alone this evening so it's jerk chicken and green veg. Still have calories to spare in MFP so might go mad and have some nuts later. Took all my willpower to avoid the doughnuts that we're hanging round the office today.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 18:08

She is drinking a lot of hot chocolate currently, mainly hot milk with those chocolate stick things in.
I'm having lots of fun, just basking in the excitement of a new phone(yest) and a new name (today) and generally rejoicing in goodness.

SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 18:10

Thanks mitchy, I'll try that. Smile That slice sounds nice, I hadn't heard of them.

Well done on resisting the doughnuts, mental

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 18:12

a friend just called and said 'I feel miserable, are you busy or can you come over?' and once I'd ascertained she had omelette ingredients agreed to go

after all what could be more comforting than ME, making The Omelette and a huuuuuge mess probably in the kitchen :)

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 18:13

You are a good friend mitchy Smile

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 18:14

Does this work for all of us? If we say we have omelette ingredients and we are miserable will you turn up and cook?
