Bums, have you ever missed him/her before?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 12:03

Agh! Ring them and grovel?

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 12:25

have I ever missed them before? once or twice Grin I dodge appointments all the time, am a dreadful drain on the system - it's just annoying when I genuinely forget what day it is, and annoying when it is her because she is one of my Great Loves

is ok, I phoned her, we have rescheduled for next week (Friday, 11am, should have plenty of time to do my Friday group run first which is just an hour) - the only mid-week morning I don't run is a Wednesday at the moment but she is busy

I was a bit avoidant when it came to appts too (still am, am still avoiding therapist)
Am feeling a bit apathetic today, trying to do craft stuff, but it's all turning out a bit shite!!

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 12:57

Millie, change your name. That'll motivate you to do stuff worked for me

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 13:05

I want a new name too :(

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 13:07

The instant porridges are quite rubbish, I used them when I was sectioned.
I've had an early lunch (carer came early). Glad your appointment could be rearranged mitchy.

What new name would you choose?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 13:09

Do it! We we mentioned surnames yestrday it made me think of it. I'm a bit in love with my new persona I'm creating!

Millie2013 · 22/01/2015 13:11

I might change my name, would kill a few hours before I have to collect DD :D

Millie2013 · 22/01/2015 13:13

Actually I do have something I could be doing- complaining about speeding on our road, but I've already bitched and whinged to the police and nowt happened

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 13:13

I don't know, my own first name has five syllables (although use shortened form) rhymes with a venereal disease and I've always hated it! Something similar but less horrible would be good.

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 22/01/2015 13:30

I think I'd choose Hannah.

Enpoid · 22/01/2015 13:33

Susanydia?

Dionnorhoea?

Ooh, ooh - Proserpinerpes?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 13:37

I nearly added an extra Middle name, but full first name and current Middle name fill up most boxes on forms so I decided against it.

I feel I need to go back to teaching to make the most of the new last name.

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 13:40

Hannah is great, palindromic, I like but I knew one who was truly annoying. Anna could work for me though!

Dionnohroea IS pretty much my name actually Shock

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 13:43

Anna is my lovely therapist. She has a daughter with the same name as me which means I probably shouldn't have a baby and call it that whilst seeing her. Which is annoying as I love the name.

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 13:46

That was easier than expected! I need a last name now, I might pick a place or town somewhere warm.

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 13:50

You can't be Anna and your current surname as then you would have the same name as lovely therapist and that would be weird.

I started a thread in chat last night about surnames so you could find one there?

Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 13:50

Or a volcano! Etna is my favourite but that doesn't sound good.

Stromboli? I saw Mt Rainier yesterday thanks to the magic of iMessages and felt sick with envy for the view.

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 22/01/2015 13:52

is it same as mine, same spelling?

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 13:53

No, with a u and no last letter. So almost but actually fundamentally different.

NiamhNext · 22/01/2015 13:54

Can I curl up in here for a bit? (Delurking)

So far today I have:
Woken with nasty head cold but without the horrid viral achiness from past few days.
lay in bed for hours
Made a short video call to DH naked (me, not him, he was at work). Not sure why. Never done before. Now feel oddly horrible about it. (He was alone in office. He smiled and was friendly and said my cold sounded bad, which was lovely.)
lay in bed some more.
Got up. coffee
tidied kitchen
bit of time on learning German app
Went to see new GP but went to wrong branch, got to appointment just a bit late but ok. New GP helpfully Hmm lowered my dose of iron based on last test results. Tried to argue but wasn't worth a fight. He seemed nice and that was the Most Important Thing.
Took green slip to pharmacy. Lay in bed. Crying (not sure why.)

I will be:
Going to fetch the parcel the postie failed to alert me to while I've been lying here. Hmm
cooking omelette with spinach (all the omelette talk made me feel at home.)

I might mop the floor or iron some school uniform but doubt it.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 14:01

Hey Niamh

I am an expert at lying in bed crying. Do you have tea because it is better with tea and digestives and a cat?

Enpoid · 22/01/2015 14:03

Welcome, fellow egglover!

I had bacon (one rasher, streaky, incinerated) and eggs (two, fried, runny) for lunch with 10g peanuts for essential pre-run carbs so am back on the dietary straight and narrow.

Please feel free to curl up (but please keep your cold germs to yourself) - you've achieved more by lunchtime than I normally fit into a whole day Grin

Is it duolingo? I was trying to learn German with that for a few months to communicate with German pseudo family but kind of got bored with it Blush

CaulkheadUpNorth · 22/01/2015 14:03

I don't really like eggs. Blush
