Re OH: he's not actually called me a fuck up but he's not impressed that I'm still mentally abnormal after all these years, with all the opportunities I've had to sort my life out (there have been many)
Basically, I fear he's given up on me and I can't say I blame him

how can you find out if those fears are grounded, can you ask him? (obviously chronically incapable of that sort of relationship so have no idea what level of communication is realistic)

I feel I've missed so many opportunities too - but were they really opportunities if you weren't able to make use of them at that time? You can only go from where you are now not from where you were five years ago. I understand if your finances are separate it makes sense for you to have responsibility for paying for horses, but I'm unimpressed by his "your problem, not mine" attitude to your health. Does the idea that you have a real illness that needs real treatment upset him to the point where he's trying to pretend it's not the case and your therapy is just a luxury?

(would it be fucking mental to make more coffee? there is no heating in the kitchen if that matters, unless you count heat from the stove while the coffee brews Confused)

I honestly don't know what goes through his head, but he is heavily influenced by his mother and many of his thoughts are her thoughts and she's not keen on me
I feel he thinks I'm just pissing around with therapy and it is a luxury, he has no idea, it keeps me putting one foot in front of the other
Trying to explain this just ends in "everyone else can cope, why can't you?"

(usually only have coffee very first thing and certainly not after 11am unless is exceptional circumstance)

how important is it to have unconditional emotional support from one's partner, or how realistic is that as an expectation?

Millie, he sounds a bit like my "best" friend. She has only been ok about me seeing LT etc since I have had a diagnosis, before that she went with the everyone else can cope line. Obviously is different as she is just a friend and housemate, but just trying to say that I get it, a bit.

I am chosing to not be in a relationship so I dont need to worry about whether I would or not. I blame this on the parents and the rape but it's mostly my own fear.

Coffee is fine, I'm having coffee (instant, it'd be a waste to do a whole pot as I'm going out to my support group later).

OH has given me lots of unconditional support over the years and it is important to me, the problem is, I've crashed too many times now, I think he's tired of it

He also wants me to support him (he works hard and gets stressed), but I'm struggling to get by myself right now and feel bad about that

In morrisons cafe, feigning mental normality while my car (probably) fails its MOT
Got accosted for a fag on the way in by an unusual person who got angry when I said I don't smoke.
I swear I'm a magnet for the non mentally normal...
