How does you your phone register your steps? I keep wandering off without mine, so it may not work for me :)

CaulkheadUpNorth · 25/01/2015 21:28

It's just an app that comes with the phone. (iPhone 5s). I now carry it round with me to get it to register the steps and go on long walks up hills and today I managed 11,000. Woo Hooo!

Ivytheterrible · 25/01/2015 21:31

You can probably live without it caulk but it detects movement while you sleep so tells you how restless you have been in the night which is really interesting. I get 2-3 hrs a night if hypomanic and up to 10 if depressed. I like the graphs so you can see variation over time.

Millie2013 · 25/01/2015 21:34

I've been sleep deprived for almost two years, I'm not sure I need a Fitbit to tell me that
But the steps thing and the fact that it syncs with..stuff could be useful

Can you tell I'm a technophobe!!

CaulkheadUpNorth · 25/01/2015 21:41

That's ok, my app does that. I'm pretty highly medicated at night thanks freud so I sleep really well.

Ivytheterrible · 25/01/2015 21:43

I would love to be highly medicated at night as I wake up all the time and really struggle to get back to sleep.

NiamhNext · 25/01/2015 21:46

Millie, I have a fitbit thing I don't use anymore. . you could have it if I can wipe the data. Not sure if it wiuld work for someone else. Confused

CaulkheadUpNorth · 25/01/2015 21:47

Quetiapine and zopiclone are my friends, as is the lovely psychiatrist. I would rather not be drowsy for so long in the morning though.

Enpoid · 25/01/2015 21:58

I hate being medicated to sleep. Hate hate hate it. Sleep fucks up my brain - I operate far better when I'm getting less of it, within reason Hmm

Enpoid · 25/01/2015 22:10

I had a fitbug but it ran away.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 25/01/2015 22:19

I feel safer with it. I know that's stupid, but I used to get night terrors and stuff like that when I was sleep or trying to fall asleep, and I don't now. I'm also more likely to sh at bedtime and I can put that off if I know I'll be asleep soon.

But I'm still only three months,I may hate it soon enough!

Enpoid · 25/01/2015 22:20

Why is that stupid?I don't think its stupid.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 25/01/2015 22:25

I don't know. I'm aware it makes me sound incompetent and I hate that. Blush
But it works, so it's fine.

I sometimes fantasise about charging my therapy costs to the stepfather and the rapist but maybe I should bill them for my prescriptions too Wink

Enpoid · 25/01/2015 22:29

It doesn't make you sound incompetent at all Hmm it makes you sound like you're taking sensible measures to prevent problems.

Enpoid · 25/01/2015 22:30

BTW do you know about prescription prepayment certificates?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 25/01/2015 22:31

Yes, I bought one a few weeks ago. It hasn't arrived yet but my lovely pharmacy are ticking to say I have one which is great.

Enpoid · 25/01/2015 22:34

Oh good, just thought I'd check Grin Wonder why it's taking so long. Mine always used to arrive quickly. Perhaps it got lost in the post

CaulkheadUpNorth · 25/01/2015 22:39

I'm pretty sure at least 40% of our post gets lost or stolen. I live in a dodgy area, so I'm not surprised but it's SO annoying.

Ivytheterrible · 25/01/2015 22:39

I signed up for prepayment a few months ago but now I'm pregnant I get free prescriptions for a while. I have no idea how to stop the prepayment Confused

CaulkheadUpNorth · 25/01/2015 22:45

My weeks are like that, but I have therapy three times a week currently so that's mainly why!

Ivytheterrible · 25/01/2015 22:45

Thanks Empoid I'll try and sort it out next week if I get around to it.

Ivytheterrible · 25/01/2015 22:46

We should really get PAs on the NHS to manage our appointments for us.
