My omelette had frozen spinach but it worked out ok. Out of interest mitchy how many eggs do you use? I used 4 between two of us and I felt there could have been more egg.

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 20:29

two

I can only have two eggs a day in case of egg poisoning - an entirely imaginary complaint with very vague symptoms of mild fears of constipation but not worth the risk imo

I have tried three and survived but is not a risk I take very often

frozen spinach is great in The Omelette, it stays in little balls and makes a sort of gattopardo effect

Constipation is not something I want to risk given the, erm, binding effect of lithium.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 20:32

Just jumping in to comment on the weird poo effects of lithium. I mean, really, what is going on with my bowel?!

Mentalpsychiatrist · 20/01/2015 20:34

All totally normal Caulk, lithium is the gift that keeps on giving.

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 20:35

is it? I think lithium is the enemy of constipation and the gentle helpmeet of polypooicism

but nothing beats half a mug of espresso and a cigarette to move things along in the morning, nothing!

OP posts:
Millie2013 · 20/01/2015 20:36

Now I've got "everything comes down to poo" from scrubs going round my head, which is weird, as I haven't watched scrubs in ages

Therapist says l need to have More Fun, much as I want to tell her to fuck off, I fear she may be right

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 20:36

I'm pooing like a normal person, it's barmy. None of the weird eating disorder related craziness.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 20/01/2015 20:39

Things can go either way with lithium.

I totally agree with the espresso and cigarette approach, works a treat.

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 20:41

am so sad about the spinach, really really really really really need to broaden my interests a little! just ran 5 miles (plus there and back from car half a mile away plus 'warm' up lap) in fucking minus 30c or whatever it is thinking 'whenIgethomeIcanhaveTheOmelette' and it kept me going :(

have left inferior omelette-type creature to die on the stove top while I sulk

life can be so very very cruel sometimes

and as usual I only have myself to blame!

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 20/01/2015 20:43

I hate food disappointments. I would send you some spinach if I could. Inferior omelette mightn't be too bad.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 20/01/2015 20:52

Gladys the cat is asleep in the fireplace hearth. Wonder what the melting point of cat fur is.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 20:55

I burnt the tail of Catcat before Christmas. He didn't notice.

Enpoid · 20/01/2015 21:07

Anyone else watching this Eichmann thing?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 21:10

Nope, we are having a Holderness Family binge.

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 21:12

oooooooh inferior omelette is awesome! Shock the frozen mix has: sugar snap peas, water chestnuts, baby corn, strips of carrot and peppers, bean sprouts - crunchynosity

with Parmesan comes to about 280 cals in total for those looking for exceptionally filling one pot meals or considering adopting The Egg Diet Grin

thinking about it, my Original Omelette had asparagus in and was on a bed of toast and marmite, so it is in its very nature to evolve and adapt to availability of ingredients

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 20/01/2015 21:13

That sounds yummy mitchy Smile

Enpoid · 20/01/2015 21:17

DEATHLY aversion to Parmesan notwithstanding that sounds lovely.

Could do with a slab of garlic bread with it though. Grin

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 21:20

ugh garlic bread!

tv is not on here, am scrolling down to catch up on missed posts, I see serotonin syndrome chat and am reminded of the day I slid sideways off the treadmill (following ridiculously heavy use of MDMA over weekend Blush) and someone rushed over going 'ohmygod your FACE! Why is it GREY?' while I spewed foam everywhere and wondered privately to self if I had a mild bout of serotonin syndrome

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 21:21

this omelette is really good

am definitely having this again

(drugs are bad)

OP posts:
Enpoid · 20/01/2015 21:27

I once had an amazing, weird, and kind of euphoric experience after a phenelzine overdose where I hid inside the duvet and twitched/sweated prodigiously while experiencing an urge to get as hot as possible. I remember my cup of tea tasted amazing. I wonder if that was serotonin syndrome. The mattress was drenched Hmm It was all a bit odd as I'd taken a fuckload of pseudoephedrine and antihistamines too.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 21:29

It feels HOURS ago that I had tea. I cannot remember what it was.

Have just had a fight with the best friend who appears to still be angry about the od in the autumn. I have ended up apologising for doing it, because that is what she needed to hear it seems. Eugh. Oh well.

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 21:30

that is making me feel a bit sick

let's just finish the omelette of surprising crunchiness and joy, have horrible feeling am about a million calories short of goal but is a day off tomorrow, will literally (probably) lie down all day apart from riding in the afternoon, walking the spaniel, mucking out

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 21:31

god she needs to move on

you didn't do it TO her

was prob socially expedient of you to apologise though, maybe friendship can be at least partially restored? is good to have friends around even if they can be dicks at times
