Haha. Yep. That did make me laugh. Sorry.

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 15:09

didn't I drop her off a minute ago? is a 35 mile round trip

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 15:12

Did she do her exam?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 15:12
  • how is #1 doing now?
Millie2013 · 20/01/2015 15:16

Therapiat just texted me and put a x at the end. Awkward
I once put a x at the end of a text to her, but I was off my tits on morphine at the time

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 15:18

LT does that for me if I'm upset/a bit needy/not in a good place - could it just be that she thought you would appreciate it?

Millie2013 · 20/01/2015 15:20

Funny: OH once asked me to text his mate from his phone (he was driving) and pretend I was him
I accidentally put a x at the end, thought "arse", then decided to keep quiet so deleted the sent tect
Friend then replied to the text with a x at the end and OH commented it was odd, but now they just sign off x
I still haven't fessed up....

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 15:27

she missed one exam but did the other, said it was shit and that she did not answer the questions Hmm

things have been tense with #1, we had a big row and she has only just started speaking to me - she had a psych appointment yesterday and I hope she went

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 15:32

Oh dear, hugs for you.

Is #1 doing GCSEs? They are rubbish, I have hardly any yet have postgrad degree.

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 15:43

thanks :)

yes, she missed all of yr 9 and chunks of previous years, but started at a medical unit with other anxious and autistic types for yr 10 where her attendance has been much better (but is still shit) and now yr 11 is same sort of place but in a different place

the awkward thing is that she is very able but can do only a few of the subjects she wanted, and her results probably won't reflect her abilities and as someone with a bit of an obsessional, perfectionist streak she finds this hard and tends to shut down completely rather than risk a mediocre result

OP posts:
Millie2013 · 20/01/2015 15:47

^^ I used to do that (still do in fact)

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 15:48

I missed masses of yr 6/7/8/9 to care for my mum.
Being a teenager is shit, too.

Can you teach her to knit and then make money from her not being in school? Have just sold booties for £££ which have taken v little time.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 15:49

What's the latest job/car/mentally Millie?

SnowyMouse · 20/01/2015 15:56

((( mitchy )))

Those jokes were amusing. I've got QI on now.

Millie2013 · 20/01/2015 16:31

Car passed MOT :D
Have been signed off for another 4 weeks, have to make an appt to see Occ health, want to finish work in the longer term

SnowyMouse · 20/01/2015 16:34

That's great to hear re: car Smile Good luck with occy health.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 16:35

Hooray for car! Is there any more news since yesterday about work/dh?

I'm winding the friend up about her hairdresser because I'm in a pissy mood. Usually I am a lovely friend, but have stopped being nice to this one and so being a bit ruder than I should.

Snowy we have all the QI books, they are great fun to read when you need something short. I have learnt a lot. The podcasts are good too.

SnowyMouse · 20/01/2015 16:44

Thanks for the tip re:podcasts and books, I didn't know about those Smile

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 16:47

The books are often in charity shops- I think they are given as Christmas gifts a lot. V popular here.

It's going to snow in 14 minutes according to my phone. SO exciting.

SnowyMouse · 20/01/2015 16:48

Rain here soon, snow is definitely more exciting.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 20/01/2015 16:49

My work here is done. I love slacker half days.

Snow forecast here tonight. I'll believe it when I see it.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 16:52

3/4 of people in my house are home, we are all on slacker days here.

Mitchy1nge · 20/01/2015 16:53

we might possibly have a tiny bit of snow in the night

just had small mental breakdown over notice on running club's FB page that tonight will be cancelled if temp not above freezing but that only referred to the juniors - phew

am definitely not in the junior group

although surely they are much less likely to crack a hip if they slip on the ice? Hmm

Haven't left the office yet but I'm on my way. My turn to cook tonight. Might do my take on The Omelette.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 20/01/2015 16:59

They will be smaller and so will suffer more with the snow.
