Flowers Sorry you've had to do that Caulky.

Mitchy1nge · 15/01/2015 19:58

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 15/01/2015 20:00

((( caulk )))

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:03

Probably, but it can wait. It hasn't happened for about five years but then I was given some liquidy stuff. I ought to get a loyalty card for all the trips to mend parts of myself I have broken. Not really sure what to do other than Stop Doing Stupid Things.

Mitchy1nge · 15/01/2015 20:06

cuddle

it is hard to Just Stop It

when do you next see Someone?

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:07

Monday for lovely therapist as I saw her yesterday instead of tomorrow.

So so fucking hard to stop.

SnowyMouse · 15/01/2015 20:10

Can you distract yourself? (hard, I know)

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:13

Yes. am knitting, fighting the corner of No Beans and will answer your questions about the church.

Mitchy1nge · 15/01/2015 20:15

complications of that behaviour can be really scary

am getting the hang of 'urge surfing' a bit in relation to that one, so far (12 days!) don't know if that's a concept that sounds useful to you

the only downside is I constantly feel full of food and a bit nauseous

but the plus side is I will just Be Fat at worst, not Fat and Edentulous

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 15/01/2015 20:16

ok q's about church

um what is really the point? is like christianity lite, you will prob still make it to heaven but you are not really enjoying the fullness of the faith are you?

why do you even bother with the eucharist if the host isn't consecrated?

OP posts:
Mitchy1nge · 15/01/2015 20:18

how come you don't have a pope? or do you? Confused who is it?

OP posts:
CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:18

What does urge surfing involve?

I've been doing it for 16 years, so stupidly believe nothing will ever happen to me, and then get a wake up call when something does.

First time since Boxing Day, previous to that was 8-10 times a day so really I am super woman with a bleeding throat

Enpoid · 15/01/2015 20:20

Church questions?

Okay.

My local church has an invited speaker in a couple of weeks who I'd like to hear (an evening talk on mental health). I emailed the contact details on the webpage (the actual vicar Shock) to ask if it would be okay to go along even if I'm not a member of the church, and she said it was open to everyone with an interest.

If I go, will I need to donate on a collection plate? And do you think there will be prayers etc.? I've never been to a church service proper.

(hugs) meanwhile.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:20

Heaven is through choosing to believe and follow God, so can be any church or none. Anglicanism for me is right because women are now equal, and everyone can do stuff. It's not all about the Sunday morning so feels more like what the early church was like.

No pope, the queen is head of then church.

Mitchy1nge · 15/01/2015 20:22

um found this specifically in relation to EDs

and this more general guff about urge surfing

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:26

Thank you, that makes sense and is sort of what I talk about and plan with lovely therapist but I haven't heard it called that, if that makes sense.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:32

Sorry enpo, I missed your comment.
I would go. If it's a service with someone speaking then there will be prayers etc, but if it's just a meeting then it won't. If there is a collection, it'll either go to the work of the church (food bank in our case) or to a charity, and they will say if it's to a charity. You don't need to join in any prayers, singing or anything like that, you just switch off during that time.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:34

If the talk isn't on a Sunday night then there may be opening prayers but that's it. And with a collection, I don't give to our collection bag and we would never expect a visitor to, unless it's for a charity when people often do, if that makes sense.

Enpoid · 15/01/2015 20:36

Thanks Caulk Smile - it's just described as a "talk", by the diocese health and wellbeing adviser. Should be interesting, anyway.

What are your plans this evening?

Enpoid · 15/01/2015 20:38

It's on a Wednesday Grin

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:38

I'm watching a thing about people on benefits. Well, I'm knitting and it's on in the background.

I've also done that thing everyone tells you to do by setting a timer and behaving normally until the timer goes off and then re setting it.

It's sleeting currently so really, all is happening here.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 15/01/2015 20:40

No! Not a Wednesday! They'll baptise you and make you recite a catechism as soon as you walk in. And all your money will be stolen by choir boys.

That's not true, I don't even know what a catechism is.

Mitchy1nge · 15/01/2015 20:40

nobody was wondering but, heroic supper:

1 tub cottage cheese chives (158 cals) with a whole ciabatta/flatbread (786)

followed by extremely heroic 'snack' or second supper:

whole sachet merchant gourmet red rice/quinoa (462 cals) with hot smoked cajun salmon flakes (250) and half tub of philadelphia lightest (88) stirred in

am still 500 short but fuck that shit

OP posts:
Enpoid · 15/01/2015 20:41

I was never told any of the timer stuff when I was a SHer. Just things about ice cubes, rubber bands, red pens, and Just Not Doing It, IIRC. That was a decade ago, though. I think things have really moved on since then.

Mitchy1nge · 15/01/2015 20:41

don't you have catechism classes? or did you do it at school?
