I'm glad you've got a lift. Be kind to yourself.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 13/01/2015 16:33

This seems like a lovely friendly and supportive thread. Wondering if I might join in for a while? I recognise some names from other friendly threads but can't remember who said what as have memory like a sieve

Millie2013 · 13/01/2015 16:58

Welcome, Juggling :)

JugglingFromHereToThere · 13/01/2015 17:06

Thanks Millie x

SnowyMouse · 13/01/2015 17:07

Welcome juggling

Mentalpsychiatrist · 13/01/2015 17:11

Hi Juggling, welcome to the thread.

On the basis of today's workload there are a lot of people struggling with mental normality this week. Looking forward to heading home for DP's moussaka. In other news zolpidem appears to have cured my worrying sleep issues.

CaulkheadUpNorth · 13/01/2015 17:21

Hooray for zolpidem. I also recommend a blanket and the sofa for added sleep time.

SnowyMouse · 13/01/2015 17:55

I'm glad zolpidem works for you.

I tried the slimfast, it's very sugary. I think I might stick with the multi-vit instead.

Millie2013 · 13/01/2015 18:04

I'm starvin marvin tonight, picked at DD's left overs and haven't stopped picking since!

Enpoid · 13/01/2015 18:48

Hi Juggling, welcome!

Have just got back in - spent rather longer than I intended out on run/walk - I decided to explore a footpath I haven't been very far down before and when I finished my training session I was three miles away from home and had to walk back Grin

On the plus side, I've bought a cappuccino frother Hmm

JugglingFromHereToThere · 13/01/2015 19:00

Have phoned in sick for tomorrow which is making me feel better already.
Have had a developing headache since this morning, but better with some neurofen (Seem to have caught DH's man-flu!) Hopefully a day or two off will give me a chance to get on top of paper-work that I've been stressing over as well (more or less at their request/demand) Sometimes you have to put yourself first don't you? I can't handle loads of work stress on top of all the other stuff I've got going on (which they know about) And quite honestly they don't pay me enough to be taking stress home with me all the time - on top of a very busy working environment.
How's everyone else doing this evening? The run/walk sounds rather nice Enpoid - As does the cappuccino frother

toothpasteinthetree · 13/01/2015 19:00

Glad the zolpidem worked, mental

Juggling Hi there! I think we maaaaay have met on a previous thread

Sorry to keep banging on, but I'm finding the mental normality rather an uphill quest right now. The stark reality of how today's new totally **s my career is beginning to sink in. And the way in which my colleagues all turned into support workers on me, that worries me on very many levels. I go to work to do a job at which I'm capable and skilled, not to have my hair stroked or tea made for me.

SnowyMouse · 13/01/2015 19:02

I wonder who will get hit with snow tonight? I'm in a maybe area.

Sounds like a good run/walk enpoid Smile Do you drink much coffee?

Hope the headache disappears juggling, good luck with the paperwork.

toothpasteinthetree · 13/01/2015 19:04

On a lighter note, though - enpoid, tell us about this cappuccino frother. I have tried numerous types and brands and models, and I always seem either to break them or to fail to actually froth the milk with them good excuse for Costa trip

toothpasteinthetree · 13/01/2015 19:05

snowy There's snow falling here, but I don't think it'll stick (urban centre)

SnowyMouse · 13/01/2015 19:06

Work sounds challenging, toothpaste Sad

JugglingFromHereToThere · 13/01/2015 19:10

Hi toothpaste - yes, your name seems recently familiar - possibly even from another active thread today? (not being cryptic, actually have a goldfish brain!)
Thanks SnowyMouse (am sure we've met before too Smile)

Enpoid · 13/01/2015 19:19

The frother is for hot chocolate rather than coffee - at home I drink filter if I'm having coffee. It's just a cheap £1.49 battery operated thing from The Range. I'll let you all know when if it breaks Smile

It was a good run; nice to be out again after this cough.

tooth, I think anyone would've been upset in your shoes - I'm sure your colleagues didn't think any worse of you and struggling when shit like this happens doesn't make you any less capable and skilled.

Sounds like a good plan for tomorrow, Juggling. Your work sound a bit inconsiderate Hmm

Enpoid · 13/01/2015 19:21

Have you had a proper dinner, Millie?

Moussaka sounds delicious, Mental.

I'm having the delayed six-pepper steak tonight.

Enpoid · 13/01/2015 19:23

Ooh, snow, Snowy?

[excited]

I'll check the forecast.

SnowyMouse · 13/01/2015 19:23

Mmmm, steak.

I don't remember juggling, but I do have the memory of a goldfish Hmm Grin

Enpoid · 13/01/2015 19:29

No snow Sad

Well, one flake forecast, at 4am. But then rain. So it doesn't count.

How's it going Caulk?

Mitchy1nge · 13/01/2015 19:29

#3 made The Omelette and it was really good, usually The Omelette is constructed and eaten privately by myself

have had my 10:30pm yoghurt already too, after much naproxen and heat pads and lying down am mobile enough to attempt bath and bed

spaniel just face timed one of his spaniel friends which was weird

OP posts:
Enpoid · 13/01/2015 19:34

Dogs with FaceTime GrinHmm

Hope the naproxen helps your back. It can be a bit harsh on your stomach though.

How are #s 1, 2, and 3?

CaulkheadUpNorth · 13/01/2015 19:37

I've generally stopped being able to cope, and planning and thinking about unmentionable things. I've rung the crisis team who said "you'll be fine, we saw you this morning".

No idea what to do really.
