Hope you enjoy getting your tree Grin

Mentalpsychiatrist · 13/12/2014 12:30

The tree buying always ends up the same. We get a tree that's far too big and a bit lopsided meaning we spend the afternoon trying to prop it up and squeeze it into a corner while drinking wine and sniping at each other. Fun!

Mentalpsychiatrist · 13/12/2014 12:35

I'm still panicking about my CPN being off and having to get used to a new person. I don't know why it's hit me so hard. I'm also worried about why she has disappeared.

SnowyMouse · 13/12/2014 12:40

I didn't realise that about clozapine, I take that. The blood tests are a pain for it (particularly the last couple of months as my haemoglobin has been out), so they keep retesting every week/couple of weeks). I don't think the clozapine is causing high haemoglobin though.

Make sure you wrap up, mental

Is there anywhere local that sells oatcakes, enpo?

SnowyMouse · 13/12/2014 12:41

I think when you have a good therapeutic relationship with someone, it hits you hard. Sad

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 12:42

I could go to the supermarket, but I need to stay in for potential deliveries.

The clozapine study I was reading was from 2000; I've been looking for something more re recent but got distracted. Does it work okay for you?

Mitchy1nge · 13/12/2014 12:45

any idea what's going on with your cpn mp? Hope she is ok and you can work with her replacement

I know you don't have to like these people to work with them but it does help

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 12:46

Yes Mp I suppose it's understandable why they don't go into detail with patients when people are off work, but it's also understandable to be worried about someone you've got to know to a certain extent I guess. Hope they get the replacement sorted for you and you get on with them okay.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 13/12/2014 12:47

No idea what's going in with her Mitchy, I just hope she's ok. I expect I'll get used to a new person but hope I can switch back to my old CPN when she's back.

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 12:48

How's the back and the nausea today Mitchy?

SnowyMouse · 13/12/2014 12:55

Oh of course, duh! I find clozapine helps more than the others I've tried out.

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 12:58

Yeah I've heard that it can be very effective but that the blood testing regime really puts people off. I've never tried it but given my tendency towards awkward side effects I don't think it's for me Grin

Mitchy1nge · 13/12/2014 13:01

I am still dying of it but think I've stopped vomiting and retching. Blatantly not tramadol induced over 24 hours since last dose. Feel better enough to think bitterly about things gp should have asked/suggested like urine dipstick. Family and friends have left me to die of dehydration. :(

Mentalpsychiatrist · 13/12/2014 13:04

Can you go back to the GP on Monday Mitchy?

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 13:07

Sounds rough Mitch

Mitchy1nge · 13/12/2014 13:12

I don't know if I can go back. Might need to register with a different place. I have suffered a narcissistic injury from their failure to roll out the welcome mat and give me proper attention. Don't they know 'it's probably nothing but' is code for 'I am going to die of this aneurysm if you are not careful'?

Grin

Have you tried taking your own retinue? I find a fawning entourage of hangers-on really adds that je ne sais quoi to a medical appt

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 13:21

Watching a newzealandish programme about food and they keep referring to the iron content of lamb in terms of the amount in a cup.

'Nice hot cup of lamb dear?' 'Ooh lovely'

SnowyMouse · 13/12/2014 13:25

That sounds horrible mitch Sad

I like lamb!

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 13:26

I love lamb too. Not out of a cup though. And certainly not with all the fat cut off and replaced with olive oil Hmm

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 13:30

Damn thing looked like it had been sliced off Tutankhamen

SnowyMouse · 13/12/2014 13:30

Yes, that sounds less than appetising.

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 13:35

Now Heston Blumenthal is caressing a viscid carrot

Enpoid · 13/12/2014 13:35

Heston, separate your food waste! Shock

Mitchy1nge · 13/12/2014 13:45

thoughts of Heston make me feel yuck

or it could be the paste I made from icing sugar and instant coffee and hot water Confused

I did promise myself during last night's cinematic death throes that in the unlikely event of not actually dying I'd eat at least 2,500 calories a day and stop being horrible to my physical self and just be Mentally Normal Forever
