Actually, come to think of it, the discomfort could be mostly down to the low heart rate - I think it can cause weakness and dizziness. Which would explain why exercising helped.

EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 15:18

Horrors. I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Caravan, Yes, King Crimson, etc.

EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 15:20

Yeah, busy here. Have managed to wheedle out a promise from the roofer to come out and stop there being holes in the roof, before the scaffolding comes down. Chase chase chase. Dead from stress.

Mitchy1nge · 10/11/2014 15:21

we used to sort of stalk Syd a bit round Cambridge when he was bald and fat and mad :(

he was such a beautiful boy before my time

Peter Gabriel, Kraftwerk, Beatles, Beach Boys, Steeleye Span, Mike Oldfield, Tangerine Dream, etc. All stuff that was in the house, pretty much.

My parents were into LSD when their tastes were forming, I believe.

EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 15:24

Ah, lovely.

EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 15:24

You lived in Cambridge?

EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 15:31

I like Cambridge. It feels exciting but calm.

EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 15:35

Nobody's mentioned Division Bell on your thread Shock

Mitchy1nge · 10/11/2014 15:43

is really weird

have always assumed they were part of global consciousness in at least some of the world but especially in east anglia

Cambridge is great isn't it :) only seem to go there for funerals these days!

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 16:01

Yes it's great. I've only been there for day trips to visit a family member.

Mitchy1nge · 10/11/2014 17:21

we could meet there and go on a Syd tour in the unlikely event of me ever organising my time effectively :)

tonight am making a stir fry with beef and a ready made plum/hoi sin packet of gloop (teen asked for 'lots of vegetables' but barely eats anything containing them, am hopeful that she will have some of this as has had similar before)

Evening ladies. How are you both today?

Work was bedlam today, it's nice to be home. Have a lasagne made yesterday evening that's ready to go in the oven. Yum.

Mitchy1nge · 10/11/2014 17:56

hm now I want to come to your house instead, don't really like meat in stir fries

what happened at work?

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 10/11/2014 18:02

Just had very busy clinics morning and afternoon. Trying to squeeze people in.

If I said I had garlic bread to go with the lasagne would that be really mean?

Mitchy1nge · 10/11/2014 18:04

nah, hate garlic bread

that is almost like having spag bol and chips!

is it helpful in some ways then when patients just don't show up? [hopeful]

Mentalpsychiatrist · 10/11/2014 18:08

No shows give me a tea break. Are you asking because you've missed an appointment Hmm

Mitchy1nge · 10/11/2014 18:11

yeah Blush

missing appointments is a sign of not needing them (in this case), will discuss with cpn tomorrow (am GUTTED if I miss her even though she does not use her new nurse prescribing powers to very interesting effect Hmm)

Mentalpsychiatrist · 10/11/2014 18:19

I quite fond of my CPN too, even if she scares me a little.

Mitchy1nge · 10/11/2014 18:46

in past four years mine has only urged me into hospital unnecessarily once

and the whole country started rioting in protest Grin

Is there some sort of low-carb version of lasagne and garlic bread? Or is that basically a plate of bolognese sauce with garlic butter on top?

Actually, that sounds pretty good.

Hungry now Grin

Hope you enjoy the lasagne Mp.

Stir fries are great. Omelette strips on top are the best tho Grin

Just got back from gym, pleased to discover mood-brightening effects of exercise are BACK!, possibly due to pregabalin. Or possibly not. Was quite hard work though - pulse stubbornly remaining below 150 no matter what I do. This is a weird drug.

I don't think I have a CPN. I have a care coordinator who is a social worker, I think?

EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 19:03

O noes! Not the pot!

I turned down a very stoned Mavis earlier today who wanted to come round for another bath and to jump on DP. I want to be the first to use my new taps, dammit!

EnpoTree · 10/11/2014 19:08

I feel kinda bad for turning her down, since she doesn't have a bath, but I can't handle having her round again so soon. Had a long talk with DP last night during which he said that he's been struggling because Mavis reminds him of his previous DP, who died, and whose death he's never really been able to cope with. So. Complicated. Poor guy. I cuddled him for hours and let him cry. Am I a mug?
