Woop! Just got a call asking if I wanted to be visited today (er, no, ta) and telling me that they're about to call CMHT to hand me over to them. Finally getting off this daily checking up soon I hope Grin

x post

am sure you do! why wouldn't you? hope omelette is nice :) am already thinking about what to put in mine later (they can't say I don't have a rich internal life)

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 11:20

Omelette was lovely as usual but very hard to eat and trying to come back up.

I didn't know hot baths were contraindicated after exercise Confused

Currently trying to decide exactly which combination of clothing is least likely to make psychiatrist think I have a mental disorder.

Mitchy1nge · 06/11/2014 11:28

they're probably not, am just meant to stretch then ice my calves/achilles

or at least blast them with cold water for a while

but FUCK THAT SHIT

can you wear whatever you would normally wear? if I had an appointment today I would probably put on two or three pairs of jeans and some top layers and a coat and boots and a scarf and hat and gloves and ski goggles so they can't see my eyes

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 11:30

Oh yes your poor calf Sad How is it?

"Normally" is a problem. All the clothes I have were bought in the last few months. I gave all the old ones away.

I've got some racing goggles which I have for the unlikely event of being at the back of a group of galloping horses

ah last night in a discussion about horse people behaviours someone said I reminded them of a young mary king!

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 11:31

Going with jeans and a lime green hoody. Casual but not too casual.

oh forgot you have dramatically changed shape and size

anything warm and comfortable will be ok? what would you wear to meet friends for a pub lunch today?

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 11:34

Yeah… this will do.

Enjoy bath! I managed to get sensation in my fingers again last night after mine Smile

Mitchy1nge · 06/11/2014 11:36

calf is not bad actually, we went slowly (perfecting strategy for race, is my friend's first ever event) not that I ever run very fast but it definitely prefers an easier run

which is a shame because am feeling fit enough to try to get faster but life is cruel Grin

Mitchy1nge · 06/11/2014 11:37

obviously don't really wear goggles or mirrored sunglasses

is a bad habit to get into

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 11:42

Yeah I get habits like that - wore a bucket hat for six months indoors an out as a teenager. And I do love my hoodies.

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 11:43

Glad calf is happyish.

Off to appointment. Argh. Be back later.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 14:50

Hi Enpo, been thinking of you. How did your appointment go?

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 15:36

Just got out. Two hours. Hell. Anyone know anything about pregabalin?

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 15:41

I asked specifically about appetite and weight gain and it was fudged a bit, on investigation seems it's a major concern.

OP posts:
EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 15:42

He seems nice but wouldn't give me a diagnosis and wants me back in a week.

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 15:44

Weight gain is a concern with pregabalin but it doesn't affect everyone and can be managed with diet.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 15:54

I wouldn't worry about not getting a diagnosis today, that's pretty standard.

EnpoTree · 06/11/2014 16:06

Hmm. Already have a very restrictive diet. If it/this mood change stops me exercising it's going to be even worse. I can't function well below 1300kcal a day. I can live with a little anxiety better than with cutting calories even further.

I think "gruelling" might be a good word to use.

At least they've stopped pushing the neuroleptics.

OP posts:
Mentalpsychiatrist · 06/11/2014 16:08

I'd consider pregabalin a win. It shouldn't precipitate a major mood change but should get rid of the agitation and anxiety you've been feeling.
