Well... That escalated quickly!
I was cutting Dh and DSs hair with the clippers and randomly decided to do mine too.
Number 8 so not properly shaven but very short.

I quite like it but dreading mil etc commenting.

spidey that's quite a hair cut! How long was your hair to begin with?

I cut all my hair off and bleached it blonde when manic a couple of years ago. I let the blonde grow out but still have short (now greying) hair. It felt very liberating when I cut it first.

MySpideySenseTickles · 19/10/2014 19:08

It was quite short already, sort of audrey hepburn in Roman holiday style but growing out quie a bit because I've not managed to see the hairdresser.
Im slightly regretting it now, wishing it was about 5mm longer. A few months ago my hair reached almost to my bum and when I cut that everyone was shocked that it was so short, wait till they see this lol.
I've always wanted to do this and was never brave enough, although this wasn't bravery I just don't give a shit lol.
I might hVe to start wearing makeup so people don't think I'm a man!
I used to laugh at families with matching jumpers but my little family have matching haircuts!

Sounds good, spidey Smile I went into town for the first time in ages this morning - very zonked, but could not rest because there's been drilling outside my flat since 8:30, still ongoing. I suppose that's a positive.

(((( pulled ))))

TheOrchardKeeper · 20/10/2014 13:40

Your hair sounds quite cool MySpidy Smile

Sorry so many people are sick/fluey. So are me and DS. Hope you don't mind me hopping on, was on here briefly last year (was in hospital for a bit with bad anxiety/depression and got brilliant support from that thread and enjoyed reading everyone else's posts). Brew

Annoyed with myself for being low again but seeing the GP next week to ask to go back on the Anti-Ds. Not sleeping, realllllllly irritable etc. Just dealt with the break up of an emotionally abusive twat idiot, moving house, DS playing up, family sickness and abuse of exes friends and family, so feel overwhelmed with it all.

TheSilveryPussycat · 20/10/2014 13:55

That's a lot to be dealing with, orchard, don't be too hard on yourself.

IME getting rid of an EA twat does wonders for one's long term mental health :)

TheOrchardKeeper · 20/10/2014 14:05

Thank you. Oh yes, I feel better off without him but he wreaked havoc on my self esteem. The cheeky SOB Hmm

So horrible with DS when I'm tired (from not sleeping and general fatigue from feeling low) and just trying not to beat myself up over it and try and keep as calm as possible, then let it all out when he's gone to bed.

Hope everyone's getting a bit of sun where they are. It rained here all last week so glad to at least have gotten a bit of a vit D hit!

SnowyMouse · 20/10/2014 17:14

It's ok to ask for help, orchard

I'm going to have takeaway tonight as a reward for going into town and doing some studying.

TheOrchardKeeper · 20/10/2014 17:19

Oo sounds nice. What you having? Tempted to order an Indian, because I've cooked healthy meals all week (despite wanting to just eat crap/not eat at all) and the house isn't a mess (despite wanting to just leave it all) Smile

TheSilveryPussycat · 20/10/2014 17:29

I keep thinking 'Oh I'll have fish and chips' - but only seem to think this on days the chippy is closed...

TheOrchardKeeper · 20/10/2014 17:37

They should deliver fish and chips, but no one seems to Shock

And they're always shut on Sundays, and it's the weekends most people fancy them. Strange business planning Hmm Grin

Mentalpsychiatrist · 20/10/2014 17:42

All this talk of takeaways is making me want one but we're having something yet to be decided made out of yesterday's roast chicken. Not very exciting bit my village only has a chip shop and it's closed on Mondays.

SnowyMouse · 20/10/2014 17:54

I'm having chinese, salt and pepper squid, duck in plum sauce and mixed veg in garlic (yum!)

They should deliver fish and chips, maybe it doesn't pay - the chinese takeaway I use have £2 delivery charge (but worth it).

I live on the edge of a medium city, so I'm lucky to have choice (and the chippy is almost literally over the road from where I live).

SnowyMouse · 20/10/2014 17:55

I hadn't been into town for weeks, got a bit paranoid over it/going on the bus. More CBT tomorrow, and I've even done the homework.

Mentalpsychiatrist · 20/10/2014 17:58

I don't eat squid but the rest sounds lovely snowy, I'm very jealous. Let's hope DP can wave her magic wand over the sad old bird in the fridge.

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 20/10/2014 19:51

Oh I LOVE salt and pepper squid. We never get it though as DH can't stand it and I can't justify a whole portion to myself most of the time, but occasionally I get one just for little old me. MMMMMMM!

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 20/10/2014 19:52

There's a delivery chippy near me, but we always go to pick up as if you're last on the round it's very soggy.

SnowyMouse · 20/10/2014 20:23

I hope that works, mp

My current Chinese restaurant have reduced the size and price of their starters, one of the ways I justify having the salt and pepper squid. It is lovely.

MySpideySenseTickles · 20/10/2014 20:27

There used to be a chippy near us that delivered but we moved, good job too as we lived a bit too close to be ordering for delivery since the delivery driver didn't bother with the car he just walked round! They did a deepfried cheeseburger which was amazing if you didn't thin of the calories, it was literally a cheeseburger and bun dipped in batter and fried, they'd deepfry anything you wanted, we tried marsbars, bountys, creme egg and a few others, I was pregnant when we lived there and couldn't work out why I gained 5stone!

MySpideySenseTickles · 20/10/2014 20:30

Dh once had a deepfried kebab sausage in Scotland, I'm still not sure whether to be intrigued or revolted, it was a jumbo sausage wrapped in kebab meat battered and fried.
Just thinking of that I'm off to eat some celery.

OP posts:
Victrix · 20/10/2014 22:26

The Chinese takeaway near me batters and deep fries their already cooked spring rolls.

You'd never guess I live in Scotland Wink
