Its the global warming!!

SnowyMouse · 21/05/2013 11:46

Ugh. Spent the morning trying to sort out finances. The hospital decided to cash a giro sent to them a month after I came home, and someone had given the DWP a different address for me.

My CPN is coming this afternoon instead.

Sorry you're feeling dull and grey Zombie I hope things pick up for you LEM . Good luck with counselling CiQ Have you tried an electric cigarette vicar?

LEMisdisappointed · 21/05/2013 11:54

Finances, horrid :( Always brings me out in a sweat! I hope you manage to get that sorted out for you - you know, they DWP will send someone round if you are struggling to sort stuff out. Could you ask your CPN about this?

So, its the middle of may, im huddled up on my sofa, two jumpers, thicnk fleecy blanket and two dogs on my lap - still frozen!!! argggghhhh

ColouringInQueen · 21/05/2013 11:59

Thanks zombie, lem and snowy. Hope you got the finances sorted. Sounds fun (not!) Good luck with counsellor and CPN Zombie and snowy.
LEM I would seriously consider putting some space between you and your mum. I found it helpful and she's not as bad as yours sounds! DH answered the phone and said I couldn't come to the phone. He also limits when she visits. It sounds harsh but it helps me.

You're right the weather does seriously Not help. Craving sunlight.

Still treacly (tho like that expression). My doc is lovely, talked about last couple of weeks, she said I'm still vulnerable (true) suggested a book called (I think) Mind over Mood cos I was saying about struggling with so many negative thoughts.

Counsellor OK. But a bit irritating actually. Hard to think straight today and very un-rose tinted glasses on so struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. So asked her if she thought I was making any progress, and she just flipped it back to me something about what I think, my work etc. Maybe its standard approach but I didn't find it helpful. Did talk about being annoyed with DH about the whole freelance thing, feeling he's being a bit naïve, but not wanting to be negative all the time cos I don't want him to get depressed again! So useful to have explored that I think. Bakers on way home (but also bought some raspberries). Nap after lunch I think. Supposed to all be going round to a friends for tea so will be good not to have to cook/entertain kids even tho not feeling remotely sociable. Sorry another bleurh posting.

Take care everyone x

ColouringInQueen · 21/05/2013 12:01

LEM another one on the sofa here, blanket within reach - gets used every evening, in late May!!!!

ColouringInQueen · 21/05/2013 12:06

here's the book

Has some very good reviews so prob worth a go...

EdwiniasRevenge · 21/05/2013 13:35

Crawls in.

I have slept all morning.

I fancy roast chicken for tea. Chances of me fancying it after I've stood and cooked it are nil.

I have a chicken in the fridge I bought friday. Its probably off anyway. Actually I might butcher it and make a biryani...uggghhh. but need stuff from tesco.

Im not exactly coherent. Just thinking out loud.

LEMisdisappointed · 21/05/2013 13:53

I so want roast chicken, but its tuesday and on a tuesday we have to have mc donalds - which i fancy as much as a hole in the head just now. DD loves it thouh and looks forward to it after her roller hockey. I did suggest chicken to her and she said OK but her little face.......... :(

Biryani sounds lush though!! how do you make that?

I need to get off the sofa!!!!!

EdwiniasRevenge · 21/05/2013 14:17

Lol.

The chicken was for sunday but it was too hot.

I've no idea on the biryani. I think swartz do a packet mix.

I'm ill. I'm dellusional. I have mad ideas.

LEMisdisappointed · 21/05/2013 14:29

LMAO at Ed and your dellusional byriani - no, i think you are right, swartz do do a kit Grin

I hope you are ok - i STILL haven't got off the sofa!!

my mother called, said, "oh, i wasn't calling YOU and put the phone down" good, - fuck off and leave me alone then.

EdwiniasRevenge · 21/05/2013 14:34

I still haven't got out of bed. Now I have a cold sore popped up.

I'm going to go and smell my chicken....then head to tesco

EdwiniasRevenge · 21/05/2013 14:35

Oh and pmsl at your mothers phobe call :o

EdwiniasRevenge · 21/05/2013 14:39

And pmsl at you stalking me. That thread and the inaccuracies on it are making me soooooo cross and preventing me getting out of bed...

LEMisdisappointed · 21/05/2013 14:39

oh, dont worry about the chicken, its GM'd so will last forever!!

LEMisdisappointed · 21/05/2013 14:41

I can't even post on it - i can't remember enough and i daresay its all moved on since i genetically modified fruitflies so i would make a tit of myself - i think the OP is david icke!

ColouringInQueen · 21/05/2013 14:46

Still on the sofa here Hmm but think I've missed sth, tho not motivated enough to see out David Icke. I am having a sugar binge! Bought a giant fresh Viennese finger from bakers after counselling which I had to counteract my otherwise healthy lunch. Now I've had a packet of Fizzers, two chocolate coins and have half a packet of refreshers and a cup of tea lined up before school pick up Grin

Can you buy biryani sauce in a jar? Always a good option...

SnowyMouse · 21/05/2013 15:02

here

ColouringInQueen · 21/05/2013 15:04

ColouringInQueen · 21/05/2013 15:07

EdwiniasRevenge · 21/05/2013 15:10

Chuck. Smells good

Bangs head on brick wall re that thread.

Off to tesco.

hoochymama1 · 21/05/2013 17:32

So lovely to read the threads today, we are a mad lot!

Chicken fajitas for tea, chicken , peppers , spice mix, pancakes, salsa, bish bash, bosh. DS says he'll assemble it.

CiQ Mind over mood is good, CBT stuff. It helped last time.

Not so I am doing a social work placement in mental health team Hmm after being a primary teacher for many years. I know, I know..

Congratulations Zombie just get that high calorie food down you, nuts, seeds, Ben and Jerry's- you won't lose weight.

Lem step back from mum, my MiL is nasty and weird, so glad she's 200 miles away. She sounds like she's trying to sabotage your mental health.

((Snowy ))

Ed hope you feel better.

I feel yuck today, everyone thought I was in a bad mood as I have a face like a slapped arse Sad. Will just sit on the sofa with my trusty hot water bottle. Been thinking of taking Sertraline at night as Vicar does. The mornings are so bad. I think some days are just pretty crap.

Still thinking of you EA

To Uni tomorrow to last recall day and essay hand in. Slightly panicking at seeing everyone.

Love and hugs to all I've forgotten.

hoochymama1 · 21/05/2013 17:34

Oops, UA Flowers

SnowyMouse · 21/05/2013 17:37

Hugs to you, hoochymama1 Good luck with handing in your assignment, I hope you feel better soon too, sounds nasty. How was tesco, Ed?

bassetfeet · 21/05/2013 19:03

Re narcissist mothers LEM A good summary . But like everything there are spectrums and those at either end of scale .

parrishmiller.com/narcissists.html

it is long though so apologies for that . Skim read maybe and see if anything rings a bell . x

HellesBelles396 · 21/05/2013 19:50

Mind Over Mood is fantastic - I used it when I had cbt and have recommended it to so many people.
