SnowyMouse · 16/03/2013 22:21

Just popping in to say good night

HellesBelles396 · 16/03/2013 22:26

ds is 12 spc and charging full-pelt into puberty!

I tend to research and type as o go then go back through and edit. probably a couple of times.

TheSilveryPussycat · 16/03/2013 23:37

"Thank you for acknowledging my post to you SPC."

I can't see where I did this? I am very gratified to hear that my words make you smile, though :) Blush This thread is such a lovely one to be on :)

TheSilveryPussycat · 16/03/2013 23:40

HB what counts as a hooligan's haircut? - am dying to know.

Are you avoiding my other question Wink?

HellesBelles396 · 16/03/2013 23:44

I was putting it off.... Wink

HellesBelles396 · 16/03/2013 23:44

it was long on top and back and shaved up the sides Sad

TheSilveryPussycat · 16/03/2013 23:45

And now? (the haircut I mean)

HellesBelles396 · 16/03/2013 23:54

short everywhere. be glad when it grows back!
just spent most of the last hour cleaning up his vomit from my bed and bedroom carpet. he coughed himself sick while in ky room then went and got in his bed and fell asleep!

TheSilveryPussycat · 17/03/2013 00:01

His current haircut is what we would have called a "skinhead" (a kind of hooligan, m'lud Wink ) in the days of my youth.

At the same age as yours is now, my DS wanted a hair cut 'like Smithy's in The Bill'. Luckily our hairdresser knew exactly what he meant :) So he had a policeman's haircut, which in those days was quite short but not too short, and looked great.

His hair had been sort of collar length before that, that evening the cat sat down on his lap without really looking at him, then woke suddenly, looked up at DS in horror, and fled from the room Grin

EdwiniasRevenge · 17/03/2013 01:35

Evening all.

Well today on my positivity list is...

Went to see a friend for cream cakes and tea.
Started crocheting a bag

Negativity list
I didn't get out of bed until nearly 3pm
I didn't go to bed until 1.30am a bit hooked into my crochet...

Good to see you back bassett. You inject so much grounded and sensible insight into the thread. You are right. I do feel as though I am turning a corner. I am even beginning to think aboyt giving teaching another chance...

So...pleasant day...but not particularly productive. Need to have a housework day tomorrow focussing on the laundry. And I am relying on uou lot throwing me out of bed to do it...

So waves to all. Been a busy thread today. Hope vicar hasn't veen buried under a pile of towels. Good to see some old names back keeping us on the straight and narrow...right now sleep time :)

EdwiniasRevenge · 17/03/2013 10:43

Morning all.

Gotta get up. I am going to put my washing away before I get my crochet hook out.

I need to ring my dm first. I've been putting it off for ages....I can put it off no more.

Need a wee first tho.

TheSilveryPussycat · 17/03/2013 10:46

Morning all, and hi Ed :) Level 1 here, and bleary. Re the laundry - for years, every time I got it done, I couldn't help feeling it was done for ever! Sadly not...

TheSilveryPussycat · 17/03/2013 10:56

Ooh look what I found! Shamrock

HellesBelles396 · 17/03/2013 11:13

laundering all the washing ds made for me during the night! using that as an excuse to listen to the archers omnibus rather than study

EdwiniasRevenge · 17/03/2013 11:36

My bedroom floor is now clear. Washing that came half way up my wardrobe is now sorted into piles of dirty and clean. And the dirty is sorted into loads and the clean is sorted into person...

My clean washibg is, however, covering my bed...which means that I can't get back into my bed until it is put away.

My airer has been cleared. So I have another pile of dry washing downstairs.

Yesterdays washing is now on the airer.

A new load of washing is now in the machine.

Now what else can I do to avoid making this phone call????

TheSilveryPussycat · 17/03/2013 12:03

I have a similar problem, Ed, as I sort paperwork in my bedroom. Which keeps having to move from the bed to the floor and back again...

EdwiniasRevenge · 17/03/2013 12:56

Phonecall done.

Now I have the burden of a load of my mums questionable employment law problems on my plate...sigh...

NanaNina · 17/03/2013 15:18

Crap here today - HM on the move big time. Just had very loud long cry which has released tension a bit, but feel flat, and have no interest in anything.

Hi snowymouse notice you popped in last night to say good night, so I'm just popping over to you to say Hi. x

ThatVikRinA22 · 17/03/2013 18:59

hi everyone

snowy glad you are still checking in.....hang on in there. x

basset i am so pleased you are still here. I would have truly missed you on here. Thank you for your thoughts on work, i think you are right. Ive heard absolutely nothing though so i think they are not in a rush to have me back. (face - bothered?? nah....Smile)

nana - so sorry about HM, you really are going through the mill at the moment - i really do hope that the change of meds improves things for you....

ed well done - you re definitely sound stronger day by day.

ive had a really productive day. Had a lovely lie in this morning, got up, had a cuppa then DH went off to work. So i set to sorting the upstairs out - the tiles needed the excess powdery residue from the grout hoovering off, and i polished the tiles. It should be all finished tomorrow and i cannot wait. My room and DS room was embarrassingly messy....so i changed my bedding, tidied, dusted and hoovered my bedroom, then went to tackle DS which was terrible. We had just dumped the old bathroom cabinet in there, and all the washing was dumped on his bed. 2 bags of rubbish, several trips up and down stairs lugging bits discarded computer (!!) and bits of bathroom cabinet later and upstairs is tidy. It took me all day. but ive clearly lots of room in DS bedroom. sorted out all the washing into baskets which i have now been able to "hide" in DS built in cupboards! (ironing it all was just a step too far!) The bathroom fitter was going to take the built in furniture out for me tomorrow but ive sad and looked at pennies and just dont have the funds to sort it out again so it will have to wait a few months. it will need decorating, carpet and furniture. The garage needs sealing first as its flooded in there with the rain....its new but the base wasnt quite level so when it rains it seeps in....needs concreting to the base.

anyway - hoovered my way down stairs, did living room, kitchen, washed up, wiped tops and have continued putting washing through.

made a lazy dinner for me and DD, (pizza. salad and garlic bread) and have just sat down.

so going to have a drop of wine, carry on with washing and watch some tv i think if i can find something to watch....weather today here been horrible, rain, then snow, back to rain.

need to be up early in morning to see bathroom fitter back in....am going to ask very sweetly if he will put a blind up for me while he has his drill out....

hope mama is ok - notice she hasnt posted for a bit.

x

NN So sorry you are feeling so bad . You sound so tired and so sad .
Not allowed to give a hug on mumsnet I have been told..but here is one anyway.>>.

The first two weeks or two [as you know ] are hellish when on new anti -depressant. We are unique I think as people nowadays who were on tricyclics
I always read side effects also...you are not alone .
SSRI meds are the NICE guide lines now it seems .

Am on another forum Nina and have learned there that Mirt is a very effective med indeed . If you can try to surf the first weeks . As if it was that easy Sad but plough on if you can .
Feeling spacey and exhausted are two of the main side effects I have read.

Keep posting and breathing /walking whatever it takes to get you through for now .
I love your posts [sorry have just mistyped SPOTS there got me smiling ] .
I love your spots Confused . eh ?

You have a good psych nurse and a psychiatrist who is kind and seems to know his/her stuff. Building blocks in place to get you lovely lady back to a calmer ,kinder place. Thanks .

bassetfeet · 17/03/2013 19:37

Thinking of you Snowy . How are you doing ? So hope you are ok and getting support and the staff are kind and helpful .Flowers .

bassetfeet · 17/03/2013 20:49

Blimey ladies Shock you have been beyond busy . Look back to your first posts and see how far you have come eh? I am so pleased .
My house is still a tip . But as Scarlett O"Hara said in Gone With the Wind. "Tomorrow is another Day" .
And the next one and the next one ..... ....Blush.
Thank you for your kind words .

ThatVikRinA22 · 17/03/2013 21:25

thanks basset

you know i truly had no idea how ill, run down and depressed i had become. it just happened so gradually.

i feel so much better at the moment, my energy levels are ok, (good even) im enjoying things again, im not wanting to stop in bed all day.

Even DH said it was obvious i had been deeply depressed. I seem to have stabilised on 100mg sertraline. I just am so wary of falling back down the hole again when i go back to work....

its odd - some stresses i cope amazingly well with (my past, family, DS and his disability,) but work, i think, is literally killing me.

ive inspected my feet today. ive painted my nails. my verrucas are all but gone. i can hardly believe it. They were so bad, when i saw podiatrist in August i had 28 verrucas. Since November they have almost gone. Since ive been off work.

I just wish i could find something local, full time, and not too taxing. would happily take a pay cut - my health must be worth that. Ive never had any issues finding a job before now. its just not happening. i dont want to feel trapped in a job that is hurting me for much longer.
