This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

Happy new year!
Home and ready for a January reset! Good day today. Biggest aim of the month is no sugar. It will be hard but I've been waiting for January and no more excuses to have a whole month with this aim!
Will weigh tomorrow to see what damage is. Annoyingly the weather looks bad for the next week, so need to try and fit running in when I can. Want to really focus on strength training too.
@Smartmove @hollyblueivy seems like you've both got a good plan going forward. Well done for getting straight on it @Smartmove. I'm not back in work until Monday so going to be a long few days staring at the left over Christmas chocolates!

Welcome back @Bubbles44 and happy new year hope u had a good time away!
im sure u will do it - im at that stage i cant bear alcohol or sugar! Worried how long that will last though . I really recommend Caroline for strength - she has free series on YouTube and u end up working through ur body methodically. She really pushes u and I get bad DOMS after every session. Plus 2 months later I can feel the progress.

today i did a pelaton ride as I wasn’t really up for the gym but that doesn’t require much effort in the same way as Caroline does.
I had yoghurt and berries
egg white omelette with avacado
chicken drumsticks and veg. I did end up having some carbs with this but I was hungry

1200 cals.

tmrw planning 1000 and gym. Tempted to weigh tmrw or check in down from 10.4 but also tempted to wait till Sunday

10.3. Would have definitely been higher yesterday!
Run done, very slow as so icy!
Aim is to get down to below 10 by the end of January. Last year I put so much pressure on myself to get to pre Christmas weight I kept self sabotaging. My main aim is a month without sugar.
Might weigh in a little over next few days then go back to Fridays.

@Bubbles44 well done running in this! 10.3 isn’t too bad. We similar now I was 10.4.4 a few days ago. Am feeling less bloated.

just started Caroline fuel series and I. An safely say I’ve died during it!!!!! I think her iron is prob a good one to start with for resistance training .

weigh on Sunday. Want to be below 10 as I have 3 family big bdays end of month and iwlll involve cake!!!

Good day. Moments of massive hunger and cravings but passed. 19K steps and good food! Hoping new year motivation gets me through the next 3 days and then routine resumes on Monday!

1200 cals and a good workout. Only 5 thousand steps. Had a small piece of stollen hence went over. But I’m not doing no sugar and I didn’t binge on it so ok with that.

tmrq be similar I hope! No plans at weekend so can stick to being good !

tempted to weigh tmrw but will wait for Sunday am.

11:5:6 today - Completely the wrong direction. I've continued Christmas longer than I should have and have paid for it this morning on the scales.

Diet starts Monday! With a gentle ease in over the next few days. I think o need to take the pressure off and just say I want to be in the 10 stone bracket by the end of January. Ideally I'd prefer it to be before but I don't like the feeling of failure of it doesn't happen.

Well done you ladies for getting straight back on it!

Yes that sounds sensible @hollyblueivy I'm sure a good few pounds will come off fast when you get into a more settled routine. Hope you've had a great Christmas!
Having a bit of a disastrous day. House full of kids and water has gone. My first thought was I need chocolate to deal with the stress. So strange that, that's where my brain went to. I didn't, but I did have my breakfast at 11.30 which was earlier than planned.
Weather looks a a tiny bit better the next couple of days so need to make the most of it and get a couple of longer runs in.

@hollyblueivy yhats such a win! Not every day can be perfect! Who cares u broke earlier u didn’t eat the choc which is great! Hope u have water back?? It’s too cold to not have a hot shower!

im 9.13.8 today so nearly back to pre Xmas weight. I’m going to weigh tmrw too then next sat. Aim to be 9.13 next sat when I’m out for friends bday then maybe drop some more? I still have fat esp on my tummy!

1200 cals seems to be working for weight loss and not resulting in bingeing so that’s the plan. Looking fwd to not drinking

That's great @Smartmove already nearly pre Christmas! Must be feeling good. Have you got a new goal or are you in maintenance do you think?
Yes all up and running thankfully. Good day yesterday, which I always find difficult when I'm home so happy with that. Run done and should be a good day today.
I think my main goals are to keep below 10. Try and get closer to 9.9 as really felt good on holiday last year at that weight. Work on strength and my all or nothing attitude!!

Good day here well about 1400 which for weekend is fine and I did a workout. all to plan but a small bit of stollen again!

I’m not sure re weight. I look better but I’m hardly slim. I don’t look in mirror and think I look bmi 22.5

I think it’s coz I’m not very toned . I’m naturally curvy still size d boobs (down from dd ) And I have muscular legs . So I’m not sure. I think I’ll see if anything drops next few weeks till the celebration’s I have in an row and then stop as it’s hard work. I think 9.10 I would prob look better and give me more leeway to stay under ten which is my 2025 goal. To stay below 10!

Ladies you are doing so well, I'm trying to take inspiration from you to get me back in the zone.

@Bubbles44 Your plans sound good and strength training is so important for our getting older bodies.

@Smartmove your weight is fab and if you're carrying a bigger chest that does sometimes make you look bigger than you are. I think Oti Mabuse is an example of this with a big chest but smaller waist. I don't think there's anything wrong with curved myself but I know us ladies are our own worst enemies!

Yes agree @hollyblueivy we never happy! My DH loves my curves and wouldn’t ever say would be sad if I lost them fully! He’s very in the camp if u feel good that’s all that matters.
should embrace my body shape and know I’m never going to Cameron Diaz petite.

u will get there @hollyblueivy its still Xmas hangover . Have u got rid of it all in the house??

Ok day here.Eaten quite a lot. Cheese, sourdough crackers with butter but no bad food and no sugar! 20K steps! Not sure about weighing yet. Looking forward to getting back to my short eating window on Monday so I can eat my usual!
Hoping to run in the morning but depends if the snow comes or not.
It's strange weight, you think you get to a magic number and you'll look perfect but I think we are always after the next thing and never happy!

we covered in snow! Prob got to stay inside today which is always difficult for me eating wise
will gym and have an 1000 day today! Report back tonight. Not weighing till sat where I want to be 9.13.

A covering of snow here too. No run. Will take kids for a walk. Frustrated about lack of running this week, not looking good for next week either with low temperatures but will focus on starting my strength work outs and getting extra sleep!

Our snow came and went overnight but still cold and rainy.

I am looking forward to getting back on it and hopefully seeing some progress during January.

I have been to the gym a couple of times and think my plan there will be to aim for 3x per week with anything else a bonus. Warm up, weights and finish with 10-20mins cardio on running machine. See how that goes.

Good day here. Did eat cheese again. Managed 10k steps will do weights when kids in bed. Might weigh Wednesday after a couple of longer fasts.
