@Bubbles44
@Smartmove
@Everythingaches

This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

hollyblueivy · 05/01/2025 18:29

Nope. It's been a bad one here again.

I can't wait to start reporting some good days.

Starting tomorrow!

Right girls I’m tightening up this week
had choc Sat and icecream last night .
im going to do a weight tmrw to check in at least same and have rest of week to drop a little . I think 9.10 is realistically a good 5th goal (!!!) as means I can remain below ten on holidays etc. I’ll asses if it achievable to be there this weekend! Worried I’ll have gained

Bubbles44 · 06/01/2025 07:58

Yes I do too. Food really healthy but too much and not enough movement. Usually with all my walking and running Garmin says I burn 2400 cals and at the moment it's showing 1800 as not running and walking as much. Weather looks so bad for the next week. Hopefully shorter eating windows will help.
Sounds a good goal @Smartmove and you've done well this week to keep cals so low and fit work outs in.
Good luck today @hollyblueivy hope you can get into it today!

hollyblueivy · 06/01/2025 08:14

Morning!

11:7:2 - Suitably shocked and ready for action.

Will try to alternate between normal coffee and black coffee this week and get lots of water in.

Lunches will be light, soup, eggs etc.

Dinner will be mix of protein, small amount carb and veg or salad.

Will try not to snack but have some fruit in if needed.

Gym x3 this week.

That's the plan!

OP posts:
Smartmove · 06/01/2025 12:47

Well done for facing the music! Ur always very good at that. I often disappear and hide for ages ha!! Sometimes u need that shock to get back on
hope this week goes well and u get some of it off

@Bubbles44 don’t worry re the running. I honestly think building muscle has been a huge game changer for me im able to eat more which makes things less restrictive and better on the binge restrict cycle. I also find I bounce back quicker after a bad weekend etc. and u can do it at home! If u don’t have equipment just do body weight workouts they hurt too!

hungry again today I bet af is coming. I’m irregular now I’m peri so not sure but am starving

yoghurt passion fruit
hummus pepper and olives
salal I’ve eaten 2 chocs!!!
Thai chicken soup tonight
be closing on 1300 if I shut my mouth!

Bubbles44 · 06/01/2025 20:24

Hope you managed to get on it today @hollyblueivy and haven't been too hungry. Always so hard after a couple of weeks enjoying life.
Yes @Smartmove I totally agree with you. Just need to change my mindset. I probably need to lower my cals for the next few days. Seem to be eating a lot of nuts.
I have some weights so will get back into the habit of doing 20 mins most evenings. I was really good at doing it until my cat got poorly and seemed to break the routine! Hope you managed a good day too.
6 days no sugar here which feels an achievement. Not really craved it but I need to keep strong.

Smartmove · 06/01/2025 22:16

Ended on 1350 which is fine
no steps no workout as busy at work
tmrw plan is 1200 cals and a intense workout and some steps

@Bubbles44 its hard when u stop! I find it so difficult to get back into things once i stop. Ur intent is there so it will come! Then 2/3 weeks at it u will be back in the zone! Normal for life to get in our way now and then ….amazing on no sugar. I have not done that I think I’ve decided I’m not capable! But I don’t mind if I can just have 1 choc or 1 biscuit …my issue if when I eat them all!

@hollyblueivy hope ifs been a good day

@Everythingaches are u still with us!

hollyblueivy · 06/01/2025 22:23

I'm the same I couldn't event attempt one day no sugar. I don't think it would be worth the restriction for me. Well done though @Bubbles44. Hopefully the weather will sort itself out soon so you can get back to running.

@Smartmove Good calories today. You have great self control and balance going.

I've had a good day. Gym with mix of strength and cardio as intended. 8k steps.

Soup and one slice sourdough for lunch
Eggs and mackerel on sourdough toast for dinner

No snacking

Two black and two white coffees and about 3 pints of squash.

I'll be weighing tomorrow and hoping for a bit of a drop. I know it's only one day but I just want it gone now! Need to remember this feeling next time I'm tempted to take time out.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 07/01/2025 08:49

11:4:2 so nearly a 3lb drop. I needed that!

Plan is much the same as yesterday and for tomorrow and the next day too. We keep going.

Hope everyone is feeling good for this week.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 07/01/2025 15:30

Yay! It’s mainly water
hope ur Under 11 soon . Keep going.

gym done was good workout and I really really didn’t want to do it all so am super proud of myself! I really believe gym has helped this last few pounds so I need to keep at it! (I went from being a very inactive person which is prob why it’s helping)

should be 1500 today too high but am hungry and did workout.

Bubbles44 · 07/01/2025 19:47

That's great @hollyblueivy and great motivation, hope it's been another good day!
@Smartmove well done on the work out. Great feeling especially when you didn't want to do it!
I did 25 min work out last night. Really felt it Today. 24 hour fast. I have eaten a lot in my 2 hour window. So hungry. Sourdough toast!! Nothing bad but definitely over calories. Yeah if I can do a month without sugar I'd be so happy. One day at a time. And 2 busy weekends ahead!
I think the freezing cold makes me hungry!

hollyblueivy · 07/01/2025 21:08

11k steps but no gym. 5 coffees, 2 black and 3 white with 2 pints squash.

Food was chilli and rice lunch. Maybe a bit bigger than I should have had.

Dinner was gammon with egg and beans and some sourdough toast.

Still feeling a bit hungry but ignoring it.

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 07/01/2025 21:41

I've just been eating Brazil nuts. Massive cravings for sugar! Must not give in!!!

hollyblueivy · 07/01/2025 22:06

@Bubbles44 is the plan to go the whole month with no sugar? Would sugar free sweets be allowed?

OP posts:
Bubbles44 · 07/01/2025 22:14

No! Still having 85% choc and whole fruit but no processed sugar. I think I just need to get through a few more days and maybe it'll get easier!

Smartmove · 07/01/2025 22:16

Ur doing great @Bubbles44 i am envious of ur resolve! I had 3 chocs again today!

Bubbles44 · 07/01/2025 22:28

I'm only a week in. A long way to go so we'll see how it goes! Also a family meet up this weekend so need to get through that too. After all the weekends in November and December going crazy with the chocolate I just need to control it. You both seem better at stopping at a few than I am!

Smartmove · 08/01/2025 07:50

Right today is going to be a really good day ow I’m worried I’ll not have lost anything! Plan pelaton (not in mood at all it’s so cold in my basement!)

yoghurt passion fruit
feta salad
apple if needed
chicken wings and a salad
3 milky coffees
1300 cals and no more!

Bubbles44 · 08/01/2025 08:47

Yes I need some really low days. Not even managed the walk to school as too icy so activity levels will be low again! Feel so full after eating later yesterday. Just holding out for next week when temperatures are above zero! Considering not weighing until a week on Friday. Scared the scale would deliver bad news!
Good luck everyone. Motivation is hard when so cold!

Smartmove · 08/01/2025 18:50

Well didn’t really go plan but stopped on 1700 which is prob just over my maintence tbh. Hungry day. Would like to pull back tmrw but seeing like I’m having a hungry week!
had my food as planned. Did my pelaton but was a half arsed attempt ! But had a flapjack and 2 chocs and extra chicken wing!

hollyblueivy · 08/01/2025 18:57

1700 isn't too bad to end on and at least you gave the bike a go!

No gym for me but 8k steps.

About the same to drink as yesterday.

Sandwich for lunch and mini chicken roast for dinner.

Two bananas throughout the day as snacks.

Overall pleased with how the week is going and ready to keep the momentum going.

OP posts:
hollyblueivy · 09/01/2025 08:12

11:4:1 this morning so hasn't moved much since my earlier weight. Definitely feeling better though so will continue what I'm doing. I'm probably not going to have any alcohol this weekend. Had enough over the last few weeks and could do without the calories.

OP posts:
Smartmove · 09/01/2025 13:28

Keep going @hollyblueivy it will keep coming off. Think no alcohol this weekend a great idea too. I’ve not had any for 10 days and feeling much better . I am planning a glass with dinner on sat but only one!

having a good day so far.
yoghurt and gruit
left Over veg and chicken - didn’t have my usual chocolate after but went for a huge apple which was the size of 2! And I’m so full and satisfied. Wondering if this is a good idea to do every day. So I don’t go for the choc after lunch
dinner not decided - no time to cook but don’t fancy eggs. Need something quick!

hollyblueivy · 09/01/2025 16:08

I'll do my best with the no alcohol. The apple sounds like a good idea, bananas have come in handy for me this week to snack or instead of pudding.

Egg and beans on sourdough toast for lunch.
Planned prawns for dinner but not sure what with yet, maybe just some pasta.
I am going to have some dark chocolate tonight as I feel I've done well so far this week.

No gym today and only at 3k steps so far so may need to head out for a walk. Gym is planned for tomorrow though and my body will be well rested for a good session which I'm looking forward to.
