This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

Happy Xmas all! Enjoy today we all deserve it :) well done to us all for trying at this difficult time to be good!
im 63.60 so a half pound again!!!!! Will enjoy today and tmrw
then 27th onwards am back on plan with food to eat sensibly. Hoping this 2.5 pound gain is food and water and not too much fat!

Hope you've all lovely few days! I have but feeling it now. I reckon I'd be half a stone up if I weighed. Maybe I will tomorrow. Got 3 days before I go away, busy but I can be in control. I will try and do some long fasts. Just hate the way rubbish food makes me feel!!

I haven’t weighed but feeling slow and sluggish and awful! I’m getting back on plan today! And will weigh myself on Monday am after 2 days of eating light and then revert back to Friday weighing and aim to get back to 9.13 asap!

Great Christmas thanks, overindulged in all the food and drinks. I'll be easing myself back in over the next few days and will weigh when I feel less bloated. Prepared for it to be bad but will use it and momentum to get back to basics during January.

I think I'll get back to the gym tomorrow too. I need to try to put some type of workout plan together to get the right mix of weights and cardio as I have been a bit aimless in my workouts and want to feel a bit for focussed.

Good day! It's been hard resisting cake and treats. Hope I feel better for it tomorrow. Felt so unfit on my run today. Crazy how much can change in a few days.
Aiming to fast until 5 tomorrow. Busy day so hopefully should manage it!

Gym done, I felt so sluggish today! Loads better for it though and managed to fast until about 2:30pm so that was good.

No alcohol yesterday or today.

Not sure what dinner will be yet and we have some pudding bits to finish up so doing better but not fully on it. May weigh tomorrow.

Gosh felt awful yest and today so bloated

we travelling home today so plan is to be super on track!

got a salad for journey

I was doing so well yesterday. Fasted until 6. Healthy food but then had chocolate and crisps. Annoyed with myself. Still have so much chocolate in the house!
Away tomorrow for a couple of nights. Will be mindful but will be eating out etc so won't be the best. Will be as mindful as possible!

I weighed! 11:3:0 I would have been more than that for sure as today is the first day I felt my bloat has gone down a bit and the last couple of days have been more sensible with food.

I'm still off and it's still that weird between Christmas time so there will be a few more days of treats and a bottle or two of wine may still be consumed.

Starting to turn attention to 2025 and what my plan for January may look like.

this period is difficult! U kinda think well it’s nye soon so I’ll just keep going!
I’ve been ok today but hard when travelling. I have had a few chocs in car!!!

@Bubbles44 enjoy ur trip away! U can get back on in Jan like the rest of us. Be good when u can but try enjoy.

Yes!!! I've lost the plot again! I think I just need the 1st January.
If it helps, I weighed the other day and was up 7 pounds. I had a really good day and was down 4 pounds the next day so hopefully it's mainly bloating. Although if it carries on much longer it's going to get harder.
I think my goal for January is a sugar free month. Going to be hard but hopefully will kickstart my year and realise how rubbish it makes me feel!

Morning all!
damage assessed 10.4.5 - so 5.5 on. Which is better than 7! So maybe the gym helped a bit this year. I don’t know if it’s ridiculous to hope on sat am it’s all gone! I’m sure 4 will go asap last 1.5 may stick around a bit longer
not weighing till sat am.

That's really not too bad at all, you'll easily be back at 10stone within a week or two. Did you say you were thinking of going slightly lower?

I think as I've been on the higher end of the scales for some time now I'm going to set 10:7 as my target and then aim to maintain 10:4-10:10 - as a starting point as I don't know how long it will take me to get there. I felt quite good at around 10:8 so wonder if that's why I wasn't able to push to a lighter weight.

Anyway that's my goal for now, with the first aim to get back into the 10 stone bracket. That's 4lb off from now. I am slow to lose I think as I don't heavily restrict so I'll be realistic for me and set Friday 10 Jan as my goal date. That averages at 2lb per week this week and next.

I will try to weigh just on a Friday as that seems so much healthier for me than the daily weigh with the odd ad hoc step on the scales as needed.

So hopefully 11:1 by this Friday.

Am def feeling hungry and this is def harder after eating a lot!
today I’ve had
cheese crackers
porridge
and gonna have Mexican at home tonight with some prosecco
its coming in at 1350 which is ok / prob just in deficient zone

tmrw I will gym ! And stick to closer to 1000 and stop drinking!!!!!
