@Bubbles44
@Smartmove
@Everythingaches

This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

I ate more choc stopping now !
tmrw driving to family
2 boiled eggs and apple on way down planned
light lunch and dinner no alcohol

Sunday yoghurt fruit. Hummus and veg . Drinks and dinner with friends

plan to weigh tmrw then daily on new scales at family. Aware they may give me a diff weight but will use Sunday am as the baseline and try for it not go up too much. I want to be 10 stone max by end of week. Is that asking too much!!!! It’s prob what I am tmrw!

Smartmove · 20/12/2024 19:48

Feeling really stressed for tmrw
i suspect im up 3/4 pounds which is going to make me cry!!! And Xmas isn’t over yet! I have had a fun week but I’ve tried to be mindful. No snacking except today ! Smaller meals extra long work outs etc. but don’t think I can outdo the wine!

Bubbles44 · 20/12/2024 20:04

@Smartmove could you not skip weighing tomorrow and maybe weigh Monday when you'll have lost a couple of pounds if you keep low cals?

Bubbles44 · 20/12/2024 20:09

Not great here. Too
Much chocolate. 10K in the morning and try and do a long fast!

Smartmove · 20/12/2024 20:19

@Bubbles44 im out Sunday night! So Monday won’t be good on scales and I also won’t have mine! So unsure if they will be the same

Smartmove · 20/12/2024 20:26

I need to know wot I weigh tmrw before I leave for families for a week

Bubbles44 · 20/12/2024 20:27

Ah yes of course. Hope it goes ok if you weigh. It's hard but you'll soon be back in the zone. Don't be hard on yourself if it's up!

Smartmove · 21/12/2024 07:32

Morning girls
I’m up 0.6 so 9.13.6

I’m not too upset with that as I’ve had work Xmas do / school mum Xmas do / Xmas do with friends and I’ve drunk so much! I just would quite like to only gain 0.4 next week as 1 pound to manage to loose post Xmas seems much more achievable than 3/4! I have tried to manage portion size and upped my excercise to counteract things this week.

we driving to family today. I should manage a super low day today and I’ll weigh tmrw and that will be the weight on my new scales and I’ll weigh every other day. If I can be 9.13 again tmrw (not sure what these scales will read) and I keep up my excercise I might be ok.
900 cals today no alcohol.

i decided yest i would like to be 9.10!!!! Not sure that’s achievable though!

hollyblueivy · 21/12/2024 07:43

@Smartmove You should be chuffed with that! Excellent week of balancing everything out. You've done exactly the right thing.

I'll weigh shortly and report back. I managed the gym again yesterday so pleased that I've done three workouts this week. Only had that small wine on Tuesday but it's been the treats that have got me this week. It's basically Christmas for me now but will try try try to not turn into Miss piggy which is my default setting so can't make any promises. Whatever damage gets done I will think about what @Bubbles44 said that it's what I do from January and throughout 2025 that counts. Weirdly looking forward to the challenge.

Wow that's great @Smartmove. Sounds like you've really shifted your set point. That's great after all your events. Hope your plan goes well.
@hollyblueivy yes I love a January reset. Hope your weigh in goes ok.
Run done. Feel full from yesterday's chocolate. Good day today!

Smartmove · 21/12/2024 21:32

1200 and 8000 steps
will weigh tmrw
am nervous for this week

Bubbles44 · 22/12/2024 08:08

Mixed yesterday. Some chocolate was had. Trying for a good couple of days before Christmas Eve.

Smartmove · 22/12/2024 08:14

Went on the scale here which is obv different. Telling me I’m 62.55kg which is 137.8 pounds which is
9 stone 11.8 so 9.12

aware this scale is diff to mine but using it the week I’m here. Aim to STS tmrw.
plan today
workout
2 boiled eggs
chicken soup
out for date night dinner as have grandparents on hand! allowed anything but will skip pudding but have some fizz!

Bubbles44 · 22/12/2024 19:31

Good day! Run and no sugar so that's a win. Hope another good day tomorrow. Then I'll relax a little and enjoy food with family!
Hope everyone is having a lovely time!

hollyblueivy · 22/12/2024 20:57

I was 11:1:00 yesterday.

Weekend was high in steps but food/alcohol hasn't been great.

Will probably weigh Tuesday and then at some point after Christmas.

Smartmove · 23/12/2024 12:13

Didn’t weigh this am
had a lot to drink so be bloated. Had fab night :) . Had some Yule log when I got in! But no other sugar

today is
half bannna milk in coffee
pret sandwhich
dinner is out with girls but we only have one drink as driving.
did a work out though it wasn’t my best!

will weigh tmrw be fab if STS but unsure now.

Smartmove · 23/12/2024 17:21

I still look chunky in jeans and have a roll top! Any ideas?!
maybe Xmas bloat! Even if scales similar? I can’t be arsed to loose more weight!

Bubbles44 · 23/12/2024 18:20

Yeah maybe just the salt/sugar/booze intake makes you slightly bloated. Or maybe obsessing too much as its all we think about?! Are you looking slimmer in pictures? You've done so well try and enjoy!
Not sure I'll weigh in the morning. Snacking on chocolate quite a bit. I must say cadburys chocolate is pretty awful these days. Just so sweet! You really taste the sugar when you don't eat it as often!

Smartmove · 23/12/2024 20:58

I know I’m not a fan of it anymore! It’s the cakes and cheese and wine getting me this year so much choc is t actually yummy anymore

ive had about 1900 cals today! Oops. But I have walked and I went to gym. Expecting rise tmrw! It is Xmas after all :/

Smartmove · 24/12/2024 07:17

63.35kg today which is 9.13.6 so I’ve gained just under 2 pounds. And the 0.6 the week before
this isn’t looking good! I’m excercsing and walking but clearly too much food and booze. Not going to panic and today be super good till dinner with the family tonight. Will gym too

Smartmove · 24/12/2024 07:24

Bearing in mind these r not my scales so im prob over ten at mine
im sure some of it is food transit and bloat and not all fat! I really wanted to stop at 2/3 this Xmas so it comes of asap. I dont want to spend all of Jan trying to loose it!!!

Bubbles44 · 24/12/2024 08:15

Decided not to weigh. I was trying on new clothes yesterday to wear over the next week and they felt good so didn’t want a number to ruin my Christmas.
Plan be sensible today. Run done and will go for a walk later.
Tomorrow enjoy the food.
Boxing Day will run but enjoy food. I’m lost with what day it is then, but will try and have a good couple of days before we are away for a couple of nights over new year.

Try not to worry too much @Smartmove
From my experience you don’t keep putting a pound on every day. You’ll probably stay around here. Just be as sensible as you can, lots of movement and enjoy. We will soon be in the slog of January.

hollyblueivy · 24/12/2024 08:52

Agree with @Bubbles44 and wish I'd read that update before I had weighed.

9:3:6 - hopefully I'll settle around here and it won't go up too much.

I really don't think it will bring any positive for me to weigh over the next week. Maybe I'll wait until I've been back on it for at least a few days to see where I am.

I may try to get a walk or run in today.

Smartmove · 24/12/2024 11:14

Great attitude @Bubbles44 the number is just a number. Though I am feeling bloated.

hummus and veg eaten. Family dinner cheese and wine tonight. Gym done.

hollyblueivy · 24/12/2024 14:57

I was looking at my weigh from last year and towards the end of the year and even early this year I was around 10:8-10:9 so I should be closer to the 10 stone mark when in reality I'm now over 11. Feel quite disappointed about that. Felt like I wasn't doing too bad until about October this year and it's fallen apart over the last couple of months.

I will do this in 2025.
