This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

Hello, hope you've both had a nice weekend. Hope things have started well with your mums treatment @hollyblueivy.
Sounds like you're back in the zone @Smartmove nice to get back to routine today I'm sure.

Having a lovely time here. Im running but a lots of sweet treats which is always my weakness. Im skipping breakfast but i don't think that will save me. Going to try and be a bit more mindful about how many puddings I need but at the same time I know this time next week im back in work.

Hope it's a good week for you both.

10:11:7 today - that’s the higher end of where I feel I have been unintentionally maintaining recently.

I do really want to get to 10:9 as I feel that is the highest I can be where I actually feel ok rather than flabby and bloated. The non exercising isn’t helping either. I think this could be the week and I mean that!!!

im going to do my best Monday to Friday - Not set a goal but just have a really good week with food, water and fitness and just see what I can do.

@Bubbles44 enjoy ur holiday! Ur running and skipping brekkie which is a great win on holiday - enjoy those puddings :) I also love a good pudding!

@hollyblueivy its hard to maintain with what you have going on esp. hope this week goes well

im 9.11 so up one. Fine with that. Aim to have it off by end of week.

9.10.5 so should get the other half off by sat am. Have a quiet weekend and not drinking so a good week to maintain. It’s summer that is going to be though!
I’ve been having about 1400 cals which is doable
hope everyone is ok!
no workout day but another 1400 ish cals.

Well done both. That's great that you are now maintaining @Smartmove what an achievement!

Back on Saturday so first weigh in will be Sunday. I put 2 pounds on last year, definitely a lot more this year as I've not really been as mindful as I would have liked and not managed any real long fasts. No idea how I was so strict last year! I know when I'm back the routine will sort me out so will enjoy my last couple of days!

@Smartmove Congratulations on reaching your maintenance era! How does it feel to have achieved your goal? Especially after moving it a few times to go that bit lighter.

@Bubbles44Im glad you’ve had a great week. You have such good discipline at home that I’m sure whatever the damage, it won’t take long to come off.

I ate big lunch dinner and pudding yesterday so back up to 10:11:5 this morning. I do feel bloated so think I’ll try to eat really light today. No carbs.

@hollyblueivy thanks. Taken quite a while hasn’t it haha! I feel good but am nervous about maintaining. Have lots going on over summer and of course involves lots of eating!!!!

@Bubbles44 enjoy ur holiday. Don’t panic or worry! U will come back and have it off no time - don’t weigh urself for a week after ur back! Ow u will go into panic mode overtestirct and get starving!

10.2 a 7 pound gain! It's fair I'd say given the amount of milkshakes and caramel Ice lattes I've had, not to mention all the puddings. Also, never really got past a 14 hour fast. Fab holiday though, feel like I had some good rest and no regrets. Aim is to get back in the 9's asap and then chip back down to 9.9.
Normal routine starts tomorrow with work etc. Will run, gym today!

@Bubbles44 glad u had a fab time! I think 7 pounds is totally normal post holiday / Xmas esp when we are so careful in the lead up.
give it 2 weeks u will be back to where u left don’t panic! Hope u enjoyed no regrets :)

im still 9.10.5 so didn’t loose than 0.5. Infact I lie I was 9.11 due to the pizza eaten yest. I’m aiming to be back to 10.9 for next Friday nothing on till then except af due and may try derail me!!!!!!!!!

gonna weigh again on Wednesday and hope the pizza bloat is gone

Ok slightly stressed
gone up another pound ! Last week I took my eye of the ball and ended up eating way over cals
then I thought I was doing maintence over weekend but I’m not

so today I’m 9.12!!!

I think I need a few days of 1200 to reset this :/

Am hoping to end on 1200 today and 8000 steps
yoghurt and kiwi and nuts
sausages and veg
fried eggs on low carb toast and avacado
a square of dark chocolate and 3 coffees with a dash of milk
must stay strong!!!
will weigh tmrw .

Hello, try not to panic. I'm sure you can get that off in no time. People always say the hardest bit is maintaining, which I guess is very true!
Going ok here. Back on it but very hungry. Will fast until 6 today but it's painful. Will weigh in tomorrow I think. I think once I'm back in the 9s I'll feel better. Really like being 9.9 feels good. Just hard staying there! But that's the aim I guess.

@Bubbles44 i agree! I just take my eye off the ball ow I put on 2 pounds in 2 weeks which will become a stone in a year!

well done for going straight back into it - I still don’t know how u fast all day!!!!!!! Some strength!

I feel good at 9.10! Need to be back there!

Yes! I think maintenance is just going to be gaining and losing the same few pounds and constantly beating ourselves up! When will you weigh next @Smartmove? Good day today?

I usually find my long fasts ok but after a bit of a break and high volume of food and sugar last week I have been ravenous! Hopefully tomorrow will be easier!

9.13 today. Hope to get another pound off by Friday. Need a good weekend. Not much planned. Hope hunger has calmed by then so it's not a battle. Already hungry today!

Good day. Feels like I've eaten a lot but I think all good. Definitely eating too much to get to 9.9 any time soon but hopefully it will get easier now back in routine!

Yes ending on 1300 a little over but will have to do! And I did my workout too so sup this is my slow weight loss calories based on my new weight so really it should be doing something!

@Bubbles44 ur only just back give it a few days

will weigh tmrw hoping even a tiny drop! No major plans over weekend so should be able to stay on plan except for the cake I’m making with kids for Father’s Day :/
